It all starts and ends with the Buss kids .

From legendary and respected organization to the laughing stock of the league in three seasons .

    Translation on the floor

Year 1 : Third worst record in Lakers history
Year 2 : Worst record in Lakers history
Year 3 : Probably worse than Year 2.

It will the 1st time we miss the postseason 3 seasons in a row .

We missed the playoffs five times in the previous and first 65 seasons of our history .

Crap Boron , crap Kobe are the result of the Buss kids terrible all around management and decisions . Period

    f*** THE BUSS KIDS

^I have to disagree. The Buss kids have had some tough luck.

The CBA last implemented was a concerted effort to lesson the power of big market teams like the Lakers. Also when you gamble, you win some and you lose some. Had Nash never been hurt and Dwight a shell of himself, we might have had 2 more rings now. Had the Chris Paul trade not been nixed etc.

Matter of fact, the Lakers have been awful. They have gambled for several off-seasons to attract a high caliber FA to build around him. But they have also failed to have a supporting cast that attracts big time players...so its a vicious circle thats hard to break. You can't do much about it. Nobody could. It is not possible to be a great GM and then to be a crappy GM. Mitch is also good, thats not going to change, no matter what.

The Buss family has been willing to spend money, they have been trying but they have failed...poor strategy, poor execution, bad luck, whatever the case may be.

Mitch is a good GM but Jim Buss hasn't allowed him to "do his thing" as per several reports .

The truth is our organization hasn't adapted to today's game and is still obsessed with big names instead of team concept.( linked to your supporting cast point)

Sure the CBA has done its damages ... but isn't responsible for our 2 latest offseasons laughable "strategy"... big names or bust .( again linked to your supporting cast point).

Failing in 2014 was acceptable , repeating the same mistake during the 2015 Summer was not.

They just don't get you have to develop a decent team to attract big time players later

Spending money doesn't mean taking good decisions so I'm not sure what's your point here .. As you said they have been trying but they keep failing !

PS : A competent FO wouldn't allow the current Kobe circus ... which is one of the biggest jokes in team sports history

Laron Profit of course. Bring back the glory days of '05.

How can we say make lineup changes that should be obvious when our coach won't implement them. A more fundamental change is needed first. The President of Basketball operations won't remove him, so it gets even more fundamental. It starts at the top, Jeanie gets Chaz out of scouting and has him go back to making her brother Martinis in the daytime AT HOME where he belongs. That goes for any other idiots Jim brought along with him from his failure years at the horse track. Dr Buss' greatest folly was bringing in Jim, he's not cut out for this. His own sister has shown her displeasure with him and so have many in the media. As a guy who has trained hundreds of people in sales I can say that there are people cut out for certain types of work and others who are not. Particularly leadership roles and management. Jim is the type that needs to sit home, play video games and enjoy the money he didn't earn. Pat on the back and consolation prizes at the door for giving it a try.
