Yes. But forget our last 16 games as they are somewhat proof that we have started to really gel from players side, utilization of players, rotations and the potential that IT approaching last year's performance if possible shooting and creating his own shot and playing the way Luke wants him to play .... all of it ... may bring for the rest of the season. Hopefully they don't revert and crap the bed in Dallas tonight. If they go there and keep taking care of business and on the road again doing it .... very great sign that we're indeed on a roll.
We had like 10% shot for a playoff spot before tonight's game. Every time we lose a game, we lose 1 percentage point. Now it's down to 9%.
This is how I see western conference play out. POR 41-46 wins UTA 40-45 wins DEN 39-44 wins LAC 38-43 wins NOP 37-42 wins That's 5 teams battling for 2 playoff spots. Yup, I'm calling Utah is gonna make it with Portland. These 5 teams may appear 3-5 games above 0.500 currently but I think it's gonna stay flat for them if not dip from there. They'll gonna be crossfired in a SAS, OKC and MIN's 3-way race to 3rd seed. I mean those three given a complete and healthy roster can really push it and make a run and they'll make a run after ASG because that's what top seeds do. And then you have HOU and GSW'S mano y mano. So where do we put ourselves? The focus is to win as many games as possible. Win 41 and let's see where we stack.
Saw some of that lightning from IT in the first half but on D it's tough with him getting switched onto guys a lot bigger than him. And no .... why not let him be a plus overall on the floor first before having him close out the game. Bad move ... shoulda been Hart in there.
Wrong starting lineup to start the season , bad late game rotations , Ennis on the floor and bricked FTs cost us the playoffs . Next season
the ridiculous and god awful FT shooting has been the biggest issue this season a NBA team shooting 60 something percent from the FT line is just downright embarrassing
wonder whats gotten in utah, they're so much closer than we are and made no trades to help themselves at all.
Donovan Mitchell has been on a tear lately. And as long as Gobert can stay on the court, they'll be in fighting position for a playoff spot.
He's my ROY. The kid has been AMAZING. I can say very honestly that I had no idea he'd be this good. Hard to measure heart on film sometimes and this kid has it.
I will second that ROY claim. I haven't looked at the numbers but his performance this year has reminded me of Lillard's rookie year.
I don’t think we can pull off a playoff spot this year, but we can finish on a positive note with all kinds of positive options moving forward. 2 max players 1 max plus resign multiple pieces we have like Lopez, JR, and IT (Notice I left out KCP lol) 1 Max plus free agents Resign our own players if they are looking good Sign and trades Trades Draft picks Combo of any of the above So many scenarios that can happen right now, but the focus should be on finishing strong and development of our core. We’d look more attractive to any FA with 40 wins rather than 30.
Yep. With the timing on this thread, it might be the worst one ever created on Lakersball. LTLaker used up all his positive mojo declaring Kuzma the next great Laker. He then tried this thread and the Mojo Gods were like, "Seriously? You want to dip into this well again this season? If you don't stop, your daughter will end up a stripper."
Alright. Let's turn this thread into an antijinx thread. The Lakers will never win again. For sure can't make the Playoffs.
