If everything goes right? ~42 wins.

If anything goes wrong, which is very likely... well I don't want to think about that!

41 - 41. Kobe plays 62 games and gives us a handful of amazing games. Nash plays 20 and becomes an after thought. I'm most excited about our rookies.

Had us at 40-45 before the injuries. My projection is with Nash playing less than 20 games.

    Here are my "safe" standings:

    1. Thunder
    2. Spurs
    3. Clippers
    4. Trailblazers
    5. Mavericks
    6. Nuggets
    7. Rockets
    8. Warriors
    9. Suns
    10. Lakers
    11. Grizzlies
    12. Pelicans
    13. Timberwolves
    14. Kings
    15. Jazz

And here is what I think could happen with injuries/chemistry and lack thereof:

    1. Thunder
    2. Spurs
    3. Mavericks
    4. Trailblazers
    5. Clippers
    6. Suns
    7. Nuggets
    8. Warriors
    9. Lakers
    10. Grizzlies
    11. Rockets
    12. Pelicans
    13. Timberwolves
    14. Kings
    15. Jazz

I'd say 45 is doable if everyone is healthy. 48 to be optimistic.

Turning 55 years old in a couple days, spent most of that time being a Laker fan so I'm going with 55. Maybe a little optimistic but with the energy this team has and more talent than given credit for I'm confident of a great season. Whatever happens at least the days of soft pansy basketball are over!

I'm glad you finally made the Optimstic Thread. I was surprised @therealdeal didn't jump all over that. I hope he's not slipping to the dark side.

I agree. At least our defense will be better this year. And I don't think we'll shoot so many threes, although I might be wrong. Maybe Byron likes "stretch players." Stretch 1-5.

When was the last time we had a real hard nosed team?

I mean even in the three-peat era we didn't have a hard nosed team. We had a couple physical guys, but not the same level as Showtime. The last two Championships were FAR from hard nosed.
