I know. I just had to use it. As if Jedi don't deal in absolutes all the time. But in regards to your statement, you took the even approach when everyone else seems to be taking an us vs them approach. The line worked and any time you can get Obi Wan into a thread, its a win.

 

I loved it. Even in the movie I like the line, but when you actually think about it it makes no sense.

 

Not bad. We'll see. I think he's a knucklehead, but there is a part of me that is starting to like "the idea" of him because of the type of people coming out against him. Some of the most idiotic ideologues that I despise are shredding him. I still don't like him, but "the idea" of him is starting to grow on me if for no other reason than the public figures who dislike him are such imbeciles.

Dollar at a 14 year high. I expect it to level out after the speculation of Trump presidency is met with over correction. But it's a whole lot better than the alternative. Making America Great Again.

Joe Biden not only has the coolest meme's on the internet, but he showed a lot of class by meeting with Pence again today, having a photo with him and spouses (looking at you President Obama) and sounding very sincere in offering to help in any way he can. True Professional!

Latest rumor is S Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will be the next Secretary of State. I'm a fan of hers and think she'd do a great job in any capacity. Having said that, lots of rumors for who will be joining Trump cabinet and until they're confirmed it can change at any moment. But yeah, this one has me really optimistic.

 

Not gonna lie. Bannon in his cabinet scares me. He has said some things that are a tad questionable. He says he's a nationalist not a racist, but he seems to have crossed the line a couple times.

 

I'm a nationalist. I learned on FaceBook today that that's a bad thing. So is saying "Posse." Who knew?

Bannon, I don't know a lot about. I doubt he's any worse than Obama's first Chief of Staff (Rahm Emanuel), but we'll see.

 

From what I understand, Bannon is a straight white nationalist. He changed brightbart into an alt-right (read white supremacist) website.

I want to look into it more, but Bannon is a huge red flag if true

 

I'm not saying he is or not, but I've read articles on Breitbart and it's definitely far right conservative. I've never seen white supremecist articles there.

I'll try to find stuff on him today.

 

There's a video of Glen Beck of all people talking about him on CNN with Anderson Cooper.

Still I doubt anything I see on CNN and adding Glenn Beck to it doesn't increase the respectability.

 

I don't know Steve Bannon and have zero motivation to defend him. But, I would self-define as alt-right in a political context. I don't know how alt-right has gotten characterized as white supremeist, but I'm not, and the people I read are not. I've been reading Breitbart for the last 3-4 years and I have never read anything even hinting at a white supremacist slant. If I had I would have bailed out on the site long ago. The reason I use the term alt-right is that I do NOT identify with an entire wing of the Republican right (RINO) and am more concerned with the principles I adhere to than with party loyalty.

 

Oh. I'm a nationalist too. But Bannon seems to be a little more. And I've read some articles at Brietbart. The articles themselves aren't racist that I can tell (Definitely far right leaning). It's when you go down to the comments that you see a LOT of racist rhetoric. And there doesn't seem to be any sort of repercussions for saying things that are pretty messed up.

 

I try to avoid the comments sections at all sites. the worst of society. From Fox, CNN, Breitbart, TMZ (maybe the worst), and ESPN. Doesn't seem to matter what the topic or demographic. I wonder if those sections are moderated.

 

^^^ that's the quote I found too. Difficult to prove. Interestingly, the quote about the school seems far fetched because he kept his daughters there.

Surely there is more out there.

Also, Glen Beck is drowning. He's a Conservative radio guy who mocked Trump, so he either gets on board or tries to get the Left to support him. I doubt he'll find either.

Am I the only one who never heard the term "alt right" until a couple days ago?
