I'm use to the hard core unopologetic GOP republicans saying Bomb country x into the ground, kick out all the Mexican imagrants and shutdown all government programs. This guy sounds liberal in comparison.

Trump "wins" SC with 33% of the vote. Gets all delegates. What a system.

Jeb is out, as rumored. Carson and Kasick should follow suit in the next couple days.

Hillary beat Bernie in NV. What are those people thinking?

I swear, we're gonna end up with Hillary and Trump. God help us!

If I had to choose, I think I would take Trump over Cruz. Simply because i'm of the believe that he's just about the entertainment and this whole thing is a ruse. Maybe when he becomes President he'll surround himself with competent advisors and nominate sane cabinet officials and won't be so radical, racist, bigoted and stupid.

    Too hopeful?

I'm far from a Trump fan, but what has he said or done that is racist?

If Trump is going to go on and on about how "ILLEGAL" Mexicans coming over here is shouldn't he acknowledge how "ILLEGAL" European immigration to the Americas was, which is basically the founding of the USA? Maybe that's way too hopeful of him to do, but has he said anything about helping Native Americans cope with the huge impact from Europeans they continue to suffer? Not that I'm aware of. That's racist to me.

Even more so, how about addressing "ILLEGALLY" forcing Africans to immigrate here? One might say "that wasn't illegal back then." BS. The whole debate on immigration is completely selfish and the legality of certain actions is only determined by the people in power. What gave European-Americans the right to do that to Africans and Natives? Their self-affirmed power. They think they have the right to command others. That's elitist. And when it comes to a bunch of people in one culture being elitist and thinking that have the right to command another group of people that look differently, speak another language, or in general have another culture, well that's racist.

Trump won't acknowledge any of that. He'll jump right to modern-day issues and put all the responsibility on black and Native communities for cleaning the mess up that racist white people created.

Has every president and candidate acknowledged every crime in US history? Should they? And failing to do so makes them racist?

I don't follow this line of thinking. Bernie denounces Wall Street funding politicians. Does that make him racist? Should he ignore that and go back to the beginning of US history and bring light to other crimes? Trump bringing it to light isn't racist. I'm not saying he's not racist, because I don't know. But in this instance, he's not.

Has this discussion really evolved to slavery? Really?

As for the illegals coming here, you can disagree with it all you want, but you're simply wrong. Countries are defined by their borders, among other things. Mexico has a really pretty wall between them and Guatemala. Are they elitist? Is every other country who has walls and borders and laws? Try sneaking into them. I think you'll find the US to be the most forgiving.

Back to the original question: What has Trump said or done that is racist? I'm really interested because I hear it a lot, but haven't seen or heard of anything racist. I really hope there is something he's said or done because I hope this isn't just another case of everything is racist because someone doesn't like their opinion.

So, their are none that you know of either. You're right about him being sexist. The list is long. But interestingly, he's said to treat female employees great and pay them more than male counterparts.

^^^ bottom meme -- Bernies response on #2 doesn't make sense to me. No matter how sick someone is, or any other unfortunate event that they face, still not entitled to someone else's money.

As for free college.... kids these days don't even respect or take advantage of free high school.

College is VERY affordable if people are willing to apply for grants, scholarships and loans. Yes, loans. Similar to how I bought my car, house, etc.

I agree with both sides on the college debate. There's "free" cash out there for literally millions of kids who try to find it. There's scholarships, grants, etc. available for all kinds of weird things like being left handed or wearing glasses. I also agree with the fact that colleges are broken and destroy kids with high costs. I'm as disenfranchised with colleges as I am with politics. Both broken systems.

And a huge point for me: "the rich" is a phantom menace. What is the line for "rich"? If it's 250K, then mine and my wife's family are "rich" and we grew up in a middle class area. Comfortable, sure, but not wealthy at all.

@John3:16 I think #2 is likening his grandma working hard all those years to have a life savings, home, 401K, etc, only to have it "taken away" figuratively, because the costs of healthcare are astronomical, ie, why we need free healthcare.

And college isn't affordable its just available. It's a scam of the highest order. You want to go to college? Cool! Here's a loan at 5% interest, that you will have to pay back for 20+ some years on average (That means you are paying back loans into your 40s at least. Interest rates mean you aren't even paying back the principal for a good number of those years.). The loans are set at a 10 year payment schedule that isn't realistic in payment amount or frequency, leading most people to double the amount of time it takes to pay it off, leading to the lenders (Sallie May/ie the government) collecting double the interest. College tuition on average is 3 times that of 1990. Around $45,000 in total. Why? Because the higher the tuition, the higher the interest collected when it takes most people twice the amount of time to pay off the loan as projected. This is just government taxation by another name.
