By that standard, should we all stop criticizing Trump too? I'm sure the sometimes over-the-top rhetoric against him has quite a few loonies dreaming about assassinating him. Does that mean he should not be criticized?

trump is the POTUS so almost everything he says/does will get criticized by one side or another. every POTUS deals with that

the GOP has latched onto a couple comments omar made years ago in an endless attempt to paint her and the dems as "unamerican, anti-semitic, etc"

All federal politicians are going to have a high profile. Some more than others. Sure, the POTUS has the biggest spotlight, but the media has been putting Omar, AOC, and the rest of the "Squad" on covers of national publications and puffing them up as leaders of the Democratic Party since they were elected. You have to take the good with the bad on that front.

    As for Omar specifically...

    This?? Anti-Semitic?? Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??

9/11 was "some people doing something"...Un-American?? Get outta toooooown!

Joking about fearing Al-Qaeda while also wondering aloud why people aren't as fearful of American soldiers? Those darn GOP'ers & their...referencing her exact quotes in valid criticisms of her comments.

no, trump and the GOP have been the ones trying to portray "the squad" as the face of the democratic party. if that's his campaign strategy for 2020 its great news for the dems

-oh look, something she tweeted 7 years ago. and she spoke out against israel. so what? and how is that anti-semitic? lol
-the 9/11 comment could have definitely been worded better. but un-american?
-she's arguing that the media uses arabic names to invoke fear. makes the comparison to a professor's body language when saying "al-qaeda" but not when saying england or america. sorry, i guess i missed the part where she praises al-qaeda and terrorism. can you show me where she makes that comment?

some reporter should point out how trump has praised saudi arabia and that it means he supports terrorism. let's see how the GOP reacts to that

Sometimes it's best to read to understand instead of read to respond.

    Food for thought.... carry on.

To be fair she did apologize for her “all about the Benjamins” and AIPAC tweet.

She was prompted by the Democrats to do so, so we will never know if she actually meant it, but she did at least apologize, so I commend her on that.

She ‘has’ said that white men are the ones Americans should be scared of because they are causing the most deaths in this country. That is a false statement. It’s black people.

All I’d like to see is some equal criticism and praise from both sides. If someone you don’t agree with or like does something good or honorable, highlight it, if they do something wrong criticize it. Both sides focus on their side and ostracize the other. That’s why we can’t ever get anything done because people are party/side conscious and not issue conscious.

Here is an example of the mainstream liberal media bias.

Bernie Sanders visited Baltimore in 2015 and said "you wouldn't know that we were in the wealthiest country in the world. Baltimore looks like a 3rd world country". He recieved no backlash and rightfully so because there is nothing wrong with what he said. It is the truth.

Trump said the same thing about Baltimore. He said the city is crime, rat, and rodent infested and no human would want to live there, which again is the truth.

Those who hate Trump, can you explain why it is a problem for Trump to say the same thing as Bernie? How is it racist for Trump (an old white man) to say it, but not racist for Bernie (an old white man) to say it?

It's not about racism. It's about tribe. My tribe can say it, but your tribe can't.

Not to derail the thread, but Bernie Sanders is the most useless, backward-thinking, economically-illiterate pile of crap politician I've ever heard demagogue. So glad he's not going to sniff the Oval Office.

When asked how he and his administration would pay for the "Healthcare For All" act, Uncle Bernie said that the moderator (Jake Tapper's) question was a Republican talking point. Uhh...last time I checked asking how you are going to pay for something is a legitimate question in all aspects of life. That's not political...

I'm shocked he didn't say the question was racist.

Pocahontas said Trump is guilty of environmental racism. WTF is that?!?!?!?
