Sounds familiar doesn't it? Do they have to fire someone first?

I don't care about popular vote. System is what it is. Everyone knows the rules.

Ya but Spicer had a weak constitution. You have to know and prepare for what's coming no matter how unfair things get.

Politics is the game of activists and smart mobs since most people never study policy or read newspapers.

First time posting in this thread, but I figure I may as well chip in my two cents. For starters, I am a Democrat and have thought Trump was a demagogue from the day he announced, so I voted against him. However, once he was elected, I accepted the results of the election and gave him a clean slate going forward and urged everyone around me to do the same.

Well, after watching his speech to the Boy Scouts tonight, I am pretty dang confident in my assessment that the man is an unhinged lunatic. I can disagree with someone politically all day long and still respect them if they carry themselves in a respectful manner. However, Trump acts like a buffoon in every way imaginable whether it's throwing tantrums about "fake news", whining about checks and balances (which are foundational to our government), constantly bringing up the election and Hillary Clinton (which are both totally irrelevant now), or adding fuel to the Russia fire (there isn't even any concrete evidence of collusion yet he's the one who keeps acting like he's guilty and trying to hide something).

I disagree on almost everything with Pence, Cruz, Ryan, etc. but those men at least carry themselves in a dignified manner and would represent the office the way it should be. Trump's behavior, such as his speech tonight or the CNN/WWE tweet, is an embarrassment to our country. Maybe Congress can come together and agree on a "Make The Presidency Sane Again" bill and impeach this clown before it gets any worse. Just get things back to normal so our democracy can stop being a 24/7 reality show and a bad one at that.

Look, the man may turn it around and be the best president since Lincoln. I hope he does, because that means our country succeeds. But I am not counting on it.

That speech to the Boy Scouts was.. disturbing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't like it.

I didn't watch his speech. I mostly read the Hill for my political news. I feel they are very unbiased. They are very down on Trump. I don't know if he's trying to get impeached or whining so much he can quit and blame everyone else, but at this rate, I don't see him lasting 3 1/2 more years.

I'm in the minority, but I'm more disappointed in Congress. They can repeal and replace ObamaCare. They've talked about it for 6+ years. Given their chance, they failed. Same thing with the wall and tax cuts.

I do find him embarrassing, but I would be appalled if Congress impeached him for "being a jerk" or something along those lines... The American people voted him in. If Trump is to be removed, he needs to have earned that removal. It is what it is.

Regardless of what happens...this is all going to make for one hell of a political science case study in the future.

They'll be making movies about the 2016 election for centuries.

I'm definitely having fun watching the various reactions everywhere. It's the most polarized I've seen the country and it's mostly due to social media. People who use social media tend to lean liberal and they assume everyone agrees and that everyone uses social media. There's millions who don't agree, don't use social media, and who voted in this sociopath to be President. Instead of trying to figure out the "why" they're lashing out and calling the country doomed.

I always felt like Trump was the wrong answer to the right questions and he's been pretty much exactly what we all should have expected.

The silent people in fly over states feel forgotten. Trump nailed it when he tapped into their frustration. The Dems better find a way to engage them or they'll lose again. Name calling isn't working.

Bingo, and Democrats like myself in Kentucky (a flyover state) understand that. Without middle America, there is no Democratic party but somewhere along the way, national Democrats have forgotten that. I just hope it isn't too late.

Him being an outsider definitely struck a chord with a lot of Americans, almost all of us are fed up with career politicians like Mitch McConnell. But like you said, the man is a sociopath. "Wrong answer to the right question" is really a perfect way to sum up his ascension to the presidency.

It's because there isn't a suitable plan to replace Obamacare outright.

While many are struggling with ObamaCare, many would lose coverage without it. None of the bills that Trump has brought to Congress have been close to being deemed a decent replacement. The problem with is that he's trying to do everything at once in as little amount of time as possible. If Trump were to follow up with any of his "promises", wouldn't it be more proper if he actually took some time to put together a working plan rather than shoving 2, 3, 4 revised plans down Congress' throat?
