@BangBoomPow This blog post gives a pretty good account without going into all of the complex details.

    Obamagate

Flynn was set up to blackmail him into committing perjury against the president of the United States.

The illegal spying started when Trump walked down the escalator and announced he was running for the Republican nomination for president. The setup started when Obama was still president, but was the outgoing administration. Trump had been elected president, but not yet in office.

Biden approved illegal spying on people in the Trump campaign. We now know that in the end, this illegal spying was used to manufacture blackmail material on Flynn, which material, though loosely based on real facts obtained in part by illegal spying, we now know was forged.

We don’t have any proof that Obama ordered this illegal spying, but we do know he was in the loop, we do know he was kept closely informed of the results of this spying.

Since they could not get any dirt on Flynn, they tried to get him to lie to the FBI – which is normally a couple of weeks in jail, but with a cooperative judge, can be forty years in jail. He did not lie, so the record of his conversation with the FBI was altered.

Flynn pled guilty in return for clemency, after being financially ruined by endless legal action – the process is the punishment. After he pled guilty, the prosecution reneged on the deal, and called for the most severe penalty, because he had failed to commit perjury against Trump. They lied about him, then they lied to him.

So, Flynn clean as a whistle (otherwise it would not have been necessary to rewrite the 302 of his conversation with the FBI). The FBI, the DoJ, the Fisa court, and the Mueller investigation up to its neck in criminal acts, and these criminal acts started with illegal spying, which illegal spying came from the top of the Obama administration, with Obama in the loop.

I'll have to read into it sometime later but what are the complications here? Are we talking about prison time for Biden, high-level officials working under Obama, etc., or will this just fall over and just be used as an election topic?

Based on Barr's comments during a presser today, they don't currently have enough to go after Obama and Biden.

But I took it as hint that they may try to convince some of the high-level officials to flip against Obama and Biden, and provide testimony and evidence against them. Barr & Durham are likely hoping that some of these officials have "insurance files" on Obama and Biden to protect themselves in case they were caught.

I doubt it’s pursued, but it would be great if it was.

More assumptions, cool story. I don't have to explain, but since you clearly have your panties in a bunch over our donation... As a Real Estate investor I have lots of contacts with construction companies, painters, plumbers etc. We reached out to all of them to gather masks. I also had about 80 masks because I recently redid part of my home and it was dusty for like 4 weeks until they were done. Your position was clear that you think he did a good job after his initial response, thats why you got emotional when people claimed he didnt. Now you're back tracking because its become a S*** Show.

    Rock for President?

I do think before this issue, Trump was on track for reelection. Right now, I seriously doubt it. The pandemic handling and his looting/shooting comment, threatening to use military, etc have really hurt his image more than he thinks.

Why would he want another 4 years of this?

    but crap..... BIden?

Has there been a worse period of time in US politics? I might stay in the Philippines for a decade or so. But you find no matter where you go, every place has its problems.

Trump is insane, and now he’s pushing his followers even more crazy conspiracy theories. If he’s re-elected we are in for some dark times

This is what I don't get (well, I get it, but it's terrible). I am not against the protests (as long as they remain peaceful), but at what point did it become:

Saving the Old and Elderly > The Entire World Economy (that will kill far more people than the virus would with it's crash)

Saving the Elderly < Protests For BLM

This isn't to disparage the protests or what they stand for whatsoever. This is more about me questioning the media and government's intentions with this whole epidemic response. The party that pretends to stand for racial equality (Democrats) were willing to arrest people in the states they controlled in order to "save our grandparents," but the second they have a chance to strengthen their grasp on a demographic, the old people aren't important anymore?

I feel weird speaking out against a tactic that will likely remove Trump from office since I don't like the butt hole. But how far is too far? The cost of this epidemic shutdown will reverberate through the economy for generations.

Yeah let’s leave all the confederate flags flying and statues of racist men up because they’re part of history. Such a terrible argument shared around by people determined to leave things the way they are because it keeps them feeling comfortable. They don’t allow any Nazi flags or statues to be up in Germany and NO ONE had forgotten that happened and we won’t. History books can contain the stories of these things, they don’t need to remain standing or hanging as symbols of “culture”. They’re racist symbols, and if you don’t get that or you don’t like admitting it, well that’s your problem, as in you are the one with the problem. Change makes people uncomfortable, as it should, but apparently some change makes certain people, usually people with very similar looking twitter avatars very, very whiny.

ON topic, anyone that can still support Trump and what he stands for at this point, kind of blows my mind. I’m not a cancel culture person, people are rabid for that sort of thinking right now, as they are towards Trump supporters. I’m not gonna post in my online bios “if you support Trump we can’t be friends/don’t talk to me”, that’s not the sort of thinking that will fix anything. But I do look at his supporters and have immense trouble understanding how and why they can defend him against anything. It’s very cult-like. As someone who grew up in a cult it’s very much like that, he’s worshiped and made excuses for, it’s frightening and sad to watch at the same time.
