Fill in the blanks. Anything less than ----- wins will be disappointing. Anything less than ---- wins I'll consider a disaster. For me it's 30, 25.
I think I have us breaking the Warriors record and not having one of our players kick the Kang in the nuts so we don't cough away a 3-1 lead.
And yet the entire point of going in a fan forum is to do just that, discuss the team which includes making predictions so no reason to knock it. Of course nothing we say has bearing or impact on outcomes. That's not the point of discussing the game and I wouldn't say telling people who are predicting wins totaling well into the 30's to temper expectations is silly. Better to be unsurprised than disappointed. And a good way to be pleasantly surprised (or massively) is to be a little more earthbound in calculation. Vegas who have proven time after time to be right far more often than wrong had us at 29.5 wins last year pre-season and now 24.5 for this year (2nd worse in the league). 34 wins would be a 100% increase and overwhelming massive success. I'd love for that to happen after predicting 25 wins rather than say, 35. Anyways, good start, we were 0-4 vs Houston last year and took 5 games for win #1 last year (when 5 of the first 6 teams we faced were lotto teams).
I'm changing my prediction of 20-25 games to around 35 games. If they keep getting better over the season, I can see them winning over 40 games.
