Playoffs - Round 1: Lakers Vs. Denver. Let's Freaking Go!!

thats what i quoted in one of my post with the lakers being the underdog and for them to have a chance at upsetting denver one of the things they will have to do is slow down murray..But more than that i think is their transition defense as a whole they always talk about the altitude in denver lakers conditioning and not letting any of denvers role players go off like say for instance kcp get 20 or more and hit 4 or 5 3's..they also cant turn the ball over and have to limit 2nd chance points for denver/rebounding they must be super locked in on defense.and they have to keep this up the whole game for however many games it goes and they might be able to pull of an upset its alot to ask but thats the only way if they dont do these things at a high level they are going to get swept again or denver will win it in in 5 or 6 games...rooting for the lakers but i aint blindly rooting for them just being realistic denver is a great team i know what the lakers are up against..anyway games should be interesting go lakers!!!!!

somebody tried to argue if lebron avged 40 against denver they would have won well they might have been able to pull out some of those close games i threw out dint he avg 40 and they lost and dude tried to act like i aint watch the games i seen enough i know he avg alot so if he would have avged 40 10 and 10 thy would have won he avged close to 30 like 30 10 and 10 and they got swept im hoping the outcome will be different this time around..theyre going to have to play consistent the whole game though but the teams lebron has played against in the finals i dont think he fears denver one bit cause he almost pulled out game 1 of the finals on the road against the warriors with kd dropping 51 and he probably doesnt see denver as a harder team to beat or matchup with than that warriors squad...

 

denver isnt harder to matchup with then the warriors teams that had kd on it..but denver is still a great team its not impossible for the lakers to win the series we will see what happens..

 

Shaq and even Skip Bayless picked Lakers,but ya almost everyone think that Denver will repeat or at least would play in the finals

I respect your list. There is, in my opinion anyway, anything with being skeptical or cautiously optimistic about this team. Like I said in my first post, we can def lose to this team. Add to that our propensity to not exactly close games out smoothly in the 4th it is understandable how some may not be "rah rah rah" about it.

For me, I can't watch my teams if I don't believe we can win. Talent vs talent we can beat anyone. Execution vs Execution? I'm not putting all my chips on the table to beat on us that is for sure.

We will know soon enough

not sure why anyone thought they'd suddenly figure out how to beat denver

they're simply the better team in every possible way and this lakers team just doesn't have what it takes to beat them. they never stood a chance this series

the only positive about denver moving on is that they're the only team capable of beating boston

 

Seems like we keep watching the same game over and over again.

LeBron and AD were great, but Lebron deferred way too much in the 4th (from being tired?). Playing AD 44 mins like this is also going to gas him out.

Our role players are nowhere near theirs... Reaves, D'lo were bricking shots.

 

How do you listen to Malone run his mouth like an insecure little brother for almost a year and still allow yourselves to get out hustled? This isn’t about a difference in talent. It’s one team shriveling in key moments every. single. time.

 

oh, and that'll be murray's worst game of the series. huge missed opportunity to capitalize on that

 

To beat them you CANNOT make mistakes. Everyone has to show up.

If both those don't happen, they will pick you apart.

 

Same old same old, they’re just better built and coached. We needed a competent coach and we went cheap route as usual.

 

The next game is do or die, we're probably getting swept if we go down 0 - 2.
