NBACentral is the real aggregation account. NBACentel is the parody account.

Also they spelled Chris Haynes with an "m"

Dwight is done. He can't help us here. We'll need to find a true backup C with some size, sure, but we'll have to do it in the off-season.

I just realized it reminds C Bags and Lakers in 2008.After Lakers lost in the finals everyone was talking how C Bags will repeat and they started 2008-2009 season on some record, 27-3 to be exact, they come to LA on 19 games winning streak, but Lakers beat their a**** at Christmas game and eventually went to finals to become champions,C Bags were eliminated by Orlando and rest is history

didn't garnett get injured that year? safe to say they probably beat the magic in the ECF with a healthy KG and we get a rematch

i think the lakers win that one. that 09 team was simply on another level

Yes, Garnet was injured later but he was perfectly fine when C Bags go to Staples on 19 games winning streak

Glad to see someone believing! What's the point of being fans if we don't believe we can "do it" ?

Oh don't get me wrong. I believe we "can" beat DEN. I just don't think we will. The difference is very subtle, I admit.

#1. I hope we don't get swept. Sorry, but just my realism talkin' here.

#2. To win 2 games would be a good showing by the Lakers. Surprising, even.

#3. To win 3 and still lose the series will be way more than I could've ever imagined, which leads me to...

#4. If we force a Game 7 I will go out of my freaking mind.

#5. If we eliminate the defending champs, who've beaten us the last 8 straight - but we gave them good games for almost all of those - I think we go to the WCF again. After that, who the HUCK knows?

    I hope, but I don't believe.

We're basically the 19th best team in the league this year. 19th teams don't win big.

I sure hope ours does, but there is no historic precedence for success at this level really.

Didn't do any research on this - too stoned - but I recall the 8th seed GSW knocking off the #1 Mavs in the first round, 2007. (GSW scorers: Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Al Harrington, Monte Ellis). Jazz eliminated them in the 2nd round 4-1.

MIA was #8 last year and went to the Finals and lost to some team that had some big Serbian dude. Whatever...

But you're right: not much of this. IIRC Nuggets and Knicks were first round winners as #8s in the 1990s.

Winning 1 round did not equal championship though. You can steal a round and still get eliminated. If we beat Denver, that would be our championship most likely

i'm with the general consensus: i think we're closer to their level than the 8-0 record indicates. i think we can beat them but don't think we will.
