the lakers are the top dog. everyone always wants to beat them, especially a team like denver who no one gave a s*** about for decades and decades and every time they actually had a decent team, it was the lakers who sent them home

We've historically beaten up on every team on the league for decades. He should hate us.

Malone realizes they are no longer overlooked and cast as underdogs so he is biting his lip.

don't fall for that aw shucks stuff from Jokic. That dude f***ing hates losing and you see it on the court. He's a fierce competitor
he just has some pastimes that aren't usual for the Americas.

This series will come down to execution in the last 5 minutes. We'll keep it close in most games, but where we fell short last year was when we were forced to go into our bag after the first couple of offensive options were taken away. We simply didn't have the experience as a group or the continuity to compete.

This year, Ham and injuries wreaked havoc on our lineups and continuity. Have we improved enough to out-execute Denver down the stretch of games? I don't see it, but like most fans, I'll be delighted to be wrong.

Last time they made us look silly in the last 5 minutes. This time I'm expecting to be more respectable, but with likely the same overall result. Until they prove they can beat them, fans are in a "show me state". It is what it is.

    from Lebron:

He's narrowing it down even further and making it about the last two minutes or less, and he's probably not wrong. I don't think we'll see much in the way of blowouts. But the word is out that if we get a big lead, just keep grinding and we'll probably give it back.

If D-lo would play even average
If Murray would not score like he did last season, especially from 3 and Jokic would not make any circus shots that he threw over Davis, Lakers are going to win series
P.S.Nuggets don't have Brown anymore who scored 15-16 points

Yeah that summarizes last year's series. Odds are against us but I'm confident it will be fun to watch and we can surprise them.

Can't wait for Saturday, let's goooo

Ham started a 3 guards lineup in the 1st game last season and it cost us Game 1 .. He'll probably do again , Spencer might defend Porter at some point smh

I think we're gonna have to put LeBron on Jamal Murray and AD on Jokic in crunch time. That way, if we switch the PnR, we don't lose anything. Force Murray to launch shots over LeBron or AD, or you are taking your chances of LeBron or AD guarding Jokic 1v1 and DO NOT double Jokic.

I heard Jovan's pod and he was saying how the Lakers probably will have to bench DLO in crunch time otherwise theres' going to be a mismatch somewhere on the floor with Reaves guarding MPJ (which is NOT ideal), DLO guarding KCP (also not ideal), and Rui on Gordon.

More than likely, we gotta put Spencer or Taurean in - Jovan was saying that Spencer is the most likely to play in crunch time and that Taurean would not be a good option as he has gotten carved up by MPJ.

Just FYI guys - MPJ has absolutely killed us this year - in fact, he's been the difference. He was 10 for 10 in his last game against us, including 5/5 from 3. The game prior to that? He dropped 27 points and 8 rebounds.

I actually think the key to beating Denver is NOT letting MPJ go off. Similar to how they took DLO out of the series last year, we really need to take MPJ out of this series.

Anthony Davis also has to show up. He has been bad in 2 out of 3 games against Denver this year...the one game he played very well, unfortunately that was a game that DLO missed cuz of an illness, and we just didn't have enough offense in that game (plus Rui only had 2 points).

Denver is very good at taking away 2-3 of our weapons on offense...we just don't do it enough to them where 2 of their guys struggle..
