Post pics of your pets and help me decide what to adopt.

My cocker spaniel that I had for 14 years passed away 2 weeks ago. Yes, it sucked. (Been a bad year)

So I'm looking to buy 2 large dogs. I've narrowed it down to English Mastiff, Rottweiler, German Shepherd Dog, and Doberman. Help me decide!!!

    RIP Tia

I’m sorry for your loss. My dog I had since 1999 died in 2013, and my other dog that I found as a stray in 2008 and took in died coming up on 2 years ago this month. It was painful as hell, my first dog died at home and my other one I had to have put down at the vet, the only part that made it even a tiny bit less painful was that both lived long, happy lives, about the average or above for their breeds.

After my last dog passed I wasn’t sure if I wanted another one right away, but after a couple weeks I felt like I needed another one. I got this girl from the animal shelter in July of 2016, she’s the sweetest dog, a Jack Russell, I named her BB (Baby Belle). They estimated she was about 3 or 4 when I got her.

My mom’s dogs are basically my dogs as well. One we got as a puppy 6 years ago, her name is Cloe, she’s supposed to be a Yorkie, Maltese, Pomeranian mix.

Our 3rd dog a family friend found abandoned behind a Home Depot in rough shape. She looked like she had been used for puppy breeding and then dumped. We took her to the animal shelter in case anyone did want to claim her, but notified them if they didn’t then we’d be adopting her. She’s a Shih Tzu, she was also estimated to be about 4 when we got her a few years ago, so all our dogs are about the same age. Took her a little while to come back to life, but ever since she did she’s been quite a character.

I’ve never had a BIG dog, so I’d have a hard time choosing between the breeds you listed. My cousin had a Rottweiler when I was a kid, scares the crap out of me, ha ha, but they loved it. My sister’s friend had a German Shepard for a long, long time, it was a really sweet dog, very friendly. I can’t speak on Dobermans at all, though, and all I know about Mastiffs is that they’re super large and because of that, similar to a Great Dane, they don’t have very long lifespans.

Sorry to hear that man. My dog is about to get sick yet again... i can tell by just looking at him. He has these stomach issues plus he eats all the toys he can find (had a surgery twice because of it).

@Weezy How smart is your Jack Russell?

@Kenzo great looking dog. There isn't a better dog for kids than a pit.

She is very smart, they are a super smart breed, but hard to train and stubborn. My dog that passed in 2013 was also a Jack Russell and she was a little terror, would bite, bark constantly, didn’t like kids, but she was obedient. I got lucky with this one, she doesn’t bark, she doesn’t bite, she loves people, she’s a lap dog, and she’s incredibly obedient. If I didn’t know she was a Jack Russell I’d swear she wasn’t ha ha, she acts more like a large breed that’s good with kids and very calm.

I never figured Savory was the dressing up a dog for pictures type, but my dog is in a jersey so I'll shut up.

A mastiff rescue returned my application and looks like I may have a new dog. Her name is Kiki.

Well, the Laker jerseys are cool. The Yoda and Ewok outfits were a Slickdeal at Petco. They wore them for 5 minutes (long enough for the picture) and we never put it on them again. They were purchased JUST so we could get the pictures. 15 bucks well spent. :D

I went with Dobermans. Kobe and KiKi. Seem small to me, but they eat a lot.

    7 weeks old.
