Pau Gasol Discussion: #16 Going Up In The Rafters

That would've helped BUT MDA had to adjust pace more than he was willing. You have to know your roster and not set them up to fail. Even if Nash didn't get hurt, you have an old Nash, Kobe with a lot of miles and a Dwight who wasn't right from injuries. Slow the game down, make it a half court game. Set Pau up as the trail man instead on the benched paperweight.

Outside of Phil, we have had some of the worst coaches ever employed by a NBA team. It's remarkable. The Rambis, Rudy T, Frank the Tank, MDA, Brown, Scott, and Luke years were all inexcusable for a coaching perspective.

 

byron was an awful coach but i wouldn't include him on that list. he was nothing more than a tanking coach who was set up to fail

but yeah, all the others you listed were f***ing awful. especially brown and MDA. vogel's the only good coach this team has hired since phil and he ended up becoming a scapegoat because of russ

 

Byron could have done a lot better if he wasn’t pig headed about who he played, and had more than that stupid weave offense out by the 3pt line where no one ever got closer to the hoop.

I still can’t stand Antoni for that pi$$ poor coaching job he did. The dude literally tried to force an older squad to play like a bunch of twenty year olds. Dumb.
Just really, really, really dumb.

 

I will be in attendance tonight. I was there for Pau’s first Laker game at Staples and I will be there when he is immortalized. Hell of a run and bittersweet.
