Best is to read C Bags threads where they are creatively attempting to find ways to predict how they will make a deal with the Lakers so that the C Bags can draft Ingram. Ha! This is me lighting up Red's cigar and blowing smoke in your face. f'gettaboutit.
I don't know that there's any trade they could offer that I would even listen to... We have our coach now, so they can't even offer us Brad Stevens. I have no interest in anyone on their roster except for Isaiah Thomas and I don't know that I'd give up a chance at Ingram or Simmons for Isaiah Thomas and Bender or Brown.
People keep talking about the picks the C Bags might have in what's supposably a deepe draft. Okay deeper isn't necessarily better. Yes there may be more depth, but is there someone like Ingram or Simmons in next year's draft and even if so the C Bags are reliant on Brooklyn to suck again. Is Brooklyn gonna be bad enough to get Boston a legit franchise player? It's great to have assets, but really they aren't all that attractive for the C Bags. They have some nice players, but nice doesn't do enough for me to give up a potential franchise superstar to pair up with D'Angelo or Julius and I sure as hell don't see it getting them a proven franchise guy with the third pick in what's a big drop off after #2.
I am optimistic that once Toronto is eliminated from the East finals and it's apparent that if they want to resign DeMar and whoever else in this and next year, they're losing Biyombo to some other team guaranteed. Their financial position has been explained here. Maybe some other key player or two in next couple years, to stay out of penalty tax. This ain't the Lakers who would do everything to try not to break up a contender, and can afford it. So DeMar I'm thinking can see the writing on the wall and may be totally open to coming back to L.A.'s temperate winter weather from the arctic chill of Toronto in winter. And after sitting across the table from Luke Walton. IF the Lakers want him. This is going to be a different off season and every season going forward as we rebuild with talent on the team and with the head coach and his staff.
I don't think we're trading down, and Bender isn't top 2. Although we actually can't trade the pick until after the draft... If Mitch has something cooking, there would be no way for us to know.
Nice find! Already my background. In a perfect world, that could be our version of the "Lineup of Death"
