Hopefully we can add one more top 3 pick to that Tank commander resume this May!

No more #BoyScott. I'm not cancelling cable after all. I'm genuinely excited for next year, and I'd imagine our young core is excited as well.

Seriously. I was honestly contemplating not watching next season if B0ron was kept on as coach. I knew the kids would remain miserable and stunted, and I knew we wouldn't get anyone notable in free agency with B0ron as part of the pitch. Now I am looking forward to next season, even summer league (hopefully the draft too, gotta get that pick..), looking forward to seeing what players want to come here and play for Luke. Things are interesting again, I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing I get to watch my team next season, whether we improve quite a bit or are still bad, I can roll with it.

Me, too, Jurinomo and Weezy. Me, too. So relieved, so happy to be moving away from the Boron/D' Antoni/Mike Brown eras of frustration and anger. I couldn't stomach another year of Boron and his treatment of the kids. I'm so glad Luke came on board. I'm seriously so happy to be a Laker fan right now. Doesn't even matter about our record next year, I just think it will be so much of a better situation all around. And seriously, I don't think there's any way to do worse than Boron in that regard anyway? 17 wins? Pathetic.

Is there a way to trade our Pick (if we get it) and Young with fillars for Cousins?
I see the Kings starting to get frustrated with Cousins. Maybe the upcoming rookies are good enough for them to want to start over.

There's no way someone takes Young. I think they can get a better package than just the pick and fillers. Boston can likely offer that package with better players and more picks.

This could happen. KD is not LeBron. He respects the way Kobe did it. He doesn't want back to OKC for another year wasting his prime ......money leverage for next contract or not, if they come up short again and are eliminated by San Antonio. His clock is ticking. He's not wanting to go to a super team chasing a ring ...and see the team gutted. No Deng no deal. But hell yeah he'd kill to play in a brilliant system like those run by San Antonio and Golden State with great young and veteran talent.

Well snap. And when he sits in a meeting with Luke and Mitch and Jim he's going to understand this new coach with our young talent in place and maybe the pick is going to be building an amazing Lakers culture again. Kobe's culture the hard core fans and he relate to .....and now L.A. would be HIS town to take his place in its list of great players having worn the P&G. Think Kobe won't give a good referral on Luke to KD? So piece of cake... ;) KD signs here this summer ....plus all of the magic yet to come from Mitch with lots of money :Jacksnicker:..... saving enough to bring in Westbrook next year. :p  Boom.

I feel like there's just too much good news happening lately since we fired Boron and hired Luke. I feel like this whole season was such a nightmare and now we're just beginning to reap the benefits with all these great quotes from Mitch, Luke and Jim. I feel like for the first time in 5 years, everybody is on the same page. Everyone is working towards the same goal. I have no idea what happened in that 6-7 hour interview....but there was definitely some magic in the air. I think Jerry Buss was in that room. Something special happened that day. I think the Lakers are finally back on track and we will be back to winning championships with Luke/Mitch/Jim regime in place. We have all hated on Jim for quite some time, but maybe he's not as stupid as we thought. I really did NOT have faith in Jim or Mitch and thought they were incompetent enough to keep Boron around for one more season and this narrative of giving him one more year was really scaring me. Jim and Mitch showed me that they're smarter than we thought....and firing Boron and hiring Luke all in ONE WEEK gave me confidence in this front office once again. It just feels good to get confirmation on EVERYTHING we were thinking all year regarding Boron and the direction this team SHOULD take. I'm very pleased with everything I'm hearing, and I'm confident we are going to have a great summer. Also, a great summer doesn't necessarily mean we are getting KD. It just means that we signed a few guys that will help our team both now and in the future, and we maybe even make some strategic trades with the assets we have. Either way, I'm happy with the direction of our squad for once in a LONG time. Lots of people are still hating on the Luke hire....but I think it was the most no brainer hire that I've seen in a while.

There's nothing but positives to take from that.

    1. They get to play together more.
    2. They see Championship/Olympic work ethic up close.
    3. They measure themselves against the best in the game.
    4. They measure themselves against the best in their peer group.
    5. They pick up good professional habits.
    6. They get top notch coaching.
    Etc etc.

Awesome. I was wondering why we hadn't heard this news already honestly.

So another top pick to go with our young guys in addition to cap room and a competent coach...

    Anyone see the Hangover?

That part after they win a bunch of cash at the black jack table and Phil says WE ARE BACK. WE ARE f***ING BACK.

That's how I feel right now.

Well I think the worst of it is over. We look like we have a clue, we have pieces, we have a coach. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
