Thing about Fisher is he was great value when salary caps were a lot lower then.

Left us for years and the only reason he came back was his daughter i believe had medical issues so he wanted to be here in LA for the best medical care.

Of course then went on to help us win again. Lost my love for Fisher a lil with the whole Matt Barnes deal but hell always be a Lakers great.

If that were any other player on a team that wasn't the Lakers, we would look at that play for what it was, a dirty, cheap shot. That was the equivalent (maybe worse in terms of injury risk) of Raja Bell's clothesline. I would say it was almost as bad as Artest's elbow, but there were mitigating factors to that elbow. It was Harden.

That play wouldn't go over well in today's NBA. But boy that play really helped them stop bullying us.

It's only a cheap shot if the guy didn't deserve it.

With Scola, it was more like "It's about time!"

Bynum's play on little Mav's dude was a cheap shot. I don't feel like Fisher's was. It was standing up and returning what was being dished out.

that fisher play is one of my favorite plays of all time. talk about changing the tone of a series in one move. scola's lame a** was leaning in and laying wood on small guys, and then he. got. his. excellent. it was over after that, mentally. that's a guy knowing when that kind of play was necessary and just executing.

    slow clap.

see my avatar for the past several years....

With Scola's play, you have to say wait a minute...little 6' guy vs. big ool' 6'9" PF? How bad could Luis get hurt? That was Marvel-level stuff there from little Fish.
