    Things appear to be clicking.
Tough tests this week with Portland, Spurs (away) and Clips. Let's see if we can continue this level of play.

Horrid offensive night from Nick and Lou yet the youngsters kept the game in control the whole time. Nice not having to rely on those guys.

Exactly half way through the season already. I can not remember the first half of the season going so quick.

Let's see if we can win our next 5 home games ( Blazers , Pistons , Nuggets , Pacers , Nuggets).

Nobody is good enough to firmly take the 8th spot right now so let's make a run !

Back on pace for 30 wins. Which was my prediction before the season. Considering we have played the most games of any team in the league already, I expect the "lighter" schedule and some growth from the young players to make that goal achievable.

Portland is currently the 8th seed. They have 1 more win than us.

8th spot is in a weird spot this season for the west. About 5 teams battling for it that are well below .500. The games against Blazers and Nuggets will be crucial if we want that 8th seed.

Maybe (hopefully?) kings, pelicans and nuggets all decide they are better off tanking.

I haven't changed my prediction yet. 30-11 in the second half? Doubtful but possible.

We probably won't make it and it will be a dissapointment given the (current) opportunity ... Even if we won around 37-38 wins and got swept in the 1st round , I would have little doubt it would make us a more attractive destination during the next summer

Going from terrible/laughable to just bad defensively would be enough ...

I hope the coaching staff/organization gets this and sets this goal for the team ...

I want at least 34 wins. Doubling the win total in a year is pretty rare feat.

I heard on the radio this morning (the 710 crew that I'm quickly growing tired of) that we should tank.

As of right now we're 2 games out of the 8th spot in the West and also 2 games out of last place in the West.

We play the Blazers (8th seed right now) 3 more times. We play the Nuggets (9th seed right now) 3 more times. We play the Kings (10th seed right now) 2 more times. We play the Pelicans (11th seed right now) 2 more times. We play the Suns, Mavericks, and Timberwolves (the three teams below us) a combined 8 more times.

We play the Top 7 teams a combined 8 more times this year.

I think there's plenty of opportunity for us to get into the playoffs. Plenty. There's also plenty of opportunity to fail, but hey this is the optimism thread. On a somewhat related note there's still a 15% chance of keeping our pick as of today.

They look like they are remembering how to win which is great. The young guys also demonstrated that they can lead as shown last night. They also seem to really enjoy playing for Luke, and in turn he and the staff are really developing these kids. Russell, Randle and Ingram had outstanding games last night.

Standings say we are only 2 games back from 8th seed, but I like to think we're even closer. Just looking at the number of wins, we're right there. Obviously we're not closer because we've played more games than just about anybody else. But we're right there at the half way point of the season.

We shouldn't tank. At some point this team has got to start building a real consistent, night in / night out work ethic. I think Luke is slowly but surely building that and a winning culture with this group. Tanking is just going to double down on the bad habits that frustrate everyone to watch and would probably backfire anyway.

If we keep putting out real effort and showing signs of growth I'm fine with losing the pick.
