That comeback beat down of the Suns didn’t suck.

    :Noddingyes:

Especially after dropping out for awhile while we were still down in the first half to watch Freddie’s walk off Grand Slam bomb in the bottom of the 10th.

I've been preaching this but Dlo, Rui, injuries to Vando/Gabe, and dumb coaching has obscured that Lakers have a really really good Big 3.
You watch the first 2 games and I'd take AD/Lebron/AR over Ant/Gobert/Reid or Randle and KD/Book/Beal.

Yeah night in and night out for the better consistency I think we can put to bed finally that DLO is the third member over AR. Not with Austin’s all around impact on the floor more often than Russell.

A real comeback and not a fake one. Nice to see.

Team seems to be playing with a chip on its shoulder which is also nice to see.

Lots of reasons for optimism. Good coaching so far, never giving up. Our 3 top guys really setting the tone. Role-players looking focused, although we still lack depth. Bron is slower but no signs of deep aging, which is insane... but I'll take it. His playmaking is incredible. AD playing the best basketball of his life. Himothy Reaves.

Yep, I am beginning to wish for a ring. I can smell it. Best we have played since 2020. Pray for less injuries.

I’m encouraged, but not ready to go there are 3 games. They have lots of time to convince us.

The last time the LeBron James team started the 3-0 season he won the championship
And actually it wasn't the bubble season,He won at Miami in 2012

both in terms of thread placement and content.

not to derail, but...if i'm in that huddle, i'm like...that's what you've got? a planned 15 second speech stolen from an aspiring youth pastor who likes sports?

i'm not only not running through a wall, i'm probably moving seats.

I don't have championship expectations but I'm definitely happy about our start. I had multiple concerns about our summer from the hiring process that lead to JJ to our lack of moves, but so far so good. JJ looks like a definite improvement as our coach and we are playing well. I still think we need to make a move, but if we can get Vando and Wood back it will be helpful. The good start also helps there as it should make the front office more comfortable with making a move if the team shows it is truly in contention.

Yeah, I've been someone that has argued the most to keep the picks for the right deal. But if we're top4 in the West and a move away from contention, I think we have to do it. I'm not really afraid of anyone particularly in the playoffs in the West, Denver has been losing depth and everyone else I think we can beat if healthy. Boston will be tricky though, but if we get there, who knows what can happen.

Still a looooong way to go but some way to early thoughts on the landscape.

For now, let's try a winning road trip for the next 5 games
