Luke probably won't get injured right before this trade deadline.

    Deng is showing a pulse

We have 3 major players (and Calderon) returning soon despite their absences we've been fighting like an injured mad dog

Lou Williams is a top 10 SG despite coming off the bench and playing only 24 mins. Julius is a top 10 Forward. Their salaries total 10 mil this year. 11 next.

Our #2 pick rookie is getting massive experience growing up with this team. He's stepped into a unit that is about winning and he's absorbing it all quickly.

Such a bummer with this injury bug. I think the Lakers would be 12-10 if everyone was healthy.

That's why the Memphis game felt like a must win and why it was the first lost that really stung me.

We might even lose more if we only have a handful of guys healthy.

yup, the memphis game was a gift we gave back.

good news is that the team is still sitting in 9th place despite the recent slide/injuries. i thought the playoffs a wholly unrealistic goal. what i do want is to finish better than 8-10 other teams, thus ensuring that the pick we lose isn't a likely franchise-changer. plus, this would mark significant progress as well, of course.

Who would have seen an avalanche of injuries and many of whom are younger guys? I'm not overly concerned about the record. We still have a very good shot at 35+ wins, but we need to heal up to get there.

    Dear basketball Gods,

Can we please get back to having a healthy team and the fun we had during the beginning of the season so that we don't have to take two losses nightly (One losing the game, the second watching Huertas and MWP play)?

    That is all. Thank you

    Signed,
Everyone that is sick of injuries and losing

Perverse karma with a great coach now and improved roster as payback for the relatively injury free season last year with a weaker roster and the crappiest coach of all times .... ?

    Ok, so...

    - Larry is back tonight vs Houston
    - D'Angelo might be back next Monday
    - Nick is making progress
    - Tariq's injury seems like a day to day type thing.

Tonight's game vs Houston? Their rolling and Harden is a tough cover, but I think we might have a chance to pick up a game tonight.

There isn't a single person on this board who wouldn't have been happy if you told them before the season started that we'd have 10 wins at this point in December. I expected us to have ups and downs this season and this is definitely a down stretch. Overall, I'm still pumped about the team and expect us to be right back in the thick of things once everyone is healthy. We've definitely still got a great shot at 35+ wins.

This new Laker team came out of the blocks and surprised people, even the die hard Laker fans. Injuries certainly have been a factor in the past few games but I'm thinking the League has taken notice, doing their homework on what Luke's running and matching their intensity. 10 wins already, a team I WANT to watch, and a bright future. I too see around 35 wins, and now would not be completely blindsided by more. Luke's just getting a new Laker identity going and will develop more offensive plus defensive sets down the road. It's been a few years since all I've felt is positivity about the Lakers.

We need one solid game to get back on track because we've been rolling downhill these past handful of games.

Games left on this road trip:
    Nets
    76ers
    Cavs
    Hornets
    Heat
    Magic

I see 3 winnable games, let's hope we go .500

^When you lose at home to the terrible Suns...I'm not sure we are going .500 on the rest of this trip.

But ya, a win would probably do wonders for the confidence. So lets hope this team doesn't go back to their identity of the last few years.

We'll be alright.. team is young and thrown off from the injuries. They'll learn, hey atleast it's not the NFL; plenty of time, I'd like to make a trade to go for a playoff push.

    Hard to be optimistic, but:

We are 10-17 and 11th in the Western Conference. I still think we are headed in the right direction. The losing sucks, but we can't give up, and I don't think the guys will quit on Luke.

The next two games: Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Very winnable. Let's win these two games, instill some confidence heading into Cleveland, and get back on the right track.

We're playing the Nets with mostly a full roster. Doesn't get any more optimistic than that lol for pregame hope.
