helps that portland plays a small backcourt, too. whatever, i'll take it!

Yeah, it's one of the few backcourts in the league where they aren't really undersized. Big talent gap, but on the size front they hold up there.

yeah, we outrebounded portland pretty badly, right? that's one of the places playing small costs you. granted they run nurkic, but hart's their sf at 6'4" or whatever, too. he's a good rebounder for a guard, but they just give up a ton of size every night, much like we have for most of the season.

Everything changes now. AD is back and Rui as well. Reaves soon after and Walker. Let's talk about this team at full power in 2-3 weeks. Maybe Rob has made another move by then using the FRPs.

All things considered, LBJ, Westbrook, Schroeder, Bryant and the bottom half of this roster managed to play close to .500 ball. Players like Gabriel and Toscano didn't crack the game tonight with Rui and AD in the lineup. With Reeves and Walker coming back, this team is suddenly deep. It's been a slow burn getting to this point. But what we have is a team that's developed character and grit after a disastrous start. That same gritty team is a lot more balanced and talented now. I think any playoff or wild card team in the West should be terrified of the Lakers right now.

I think it's an exciting time to be a Laker fan. LeBron is going for Kareem's points record while trying to land a playoff berth for the Lakers. These next couple months should be good.

I hope Gabriel can stay in the rotation. Ham plays a pretty tight rotation which I guess he has to to win as many games catching up to the pack as he can. It was funny … seeing Wes Johnson play defense again that would have been nice for the perimeter but Wenyan plays good D too and on taller guys near the basket and seems to me to be an all around better looking ball player plus is taller, moves really well too and also is probably a better shooter and scorer down low.

I was playing with my band tonight, I'm a guitarist in a rock cover band and we played at Brewcaipa Brewery in Yucaipa and the game was on in the background so I was watching on the big screen while playing. If you had told me we were playing the C-Bags in the Garden and had 0 blocks, shot 28% from 3, got 20 free-throw attempts while they got double that, I would have said we would have been smoked like Gangsta Boo's crack pipe. And to lose it all to another bad call. Dr Buss just turned over in his grave.

Hey: who are your fave guitarists?

So, we lost in OT again to the damned C-Bags. But the good news is this: BOS was at home, has the best record in the NBA, and they needed the refs to steal this game. Walker IV is back, AD had a bad game...and we still shouldda won it.

Yeah the ref mistakes costing us games is becoming concerning as is the lack of trips to the free-throw line for LBJ. I've been playing for many years so "favorite guitarists" thing is sort of a young guy's thing. I appreciate them all as they all bring something different to the table. When I was young like 11-12 years old I would work for my dad fixing up houses so I would paint houses all day and in one house I found a box of vinyl albums (yes, vinyl, the black plastic things) with The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the first 2 Led Zeppelin albums so those were my early influences.

Hendrix and Page - two of the very best!! So sad to hear that Jeff Beck passed away. A total pioneer.

Yeah, like I said, I hate naming favorites but if you put a gun to my head, Beck is a name that will probably pop out pretty quickly.

The Lakers have shown they can play with anyone.

They’ve beat DEN, MEM & MIL.. & should have beat both PHI & BOS, but got bad calls on a last shot.

I worked for their record company WBR 33 years but was more focused on SOTA A/V stuff in my personal life and @showtime24 had to clue me in in PMs how incredibly good Prince and George Harrison were.

They were ok, more gifted as songwriters then skilled technicians on the guitar. Beck was another few levels beyond those guys for sure. Still enjoyed me some Prince and Georgey for sure. Also Prince's guitar solo at that Super Bowl on "Purple Rain" playing in the rain with purple lighting was an iconic moment.

if the refs hadn't objectively stolen three games from us, NO wouldn't be swapping picks with us right now.

    let that sink in.

The west is completely ****ed. Easy to see us go on a 10-2- run and end up 4th place in the West right now with AD back, Rui and Lonnie, Austin back soon. Buckle up, we are coming. The rest of the season is much more handleable. We can still take 1st in the West if our health keeps up. This is what LA b-ball exists for, we will prevail!

We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
    The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, sing and cry
    Valhalla, I am coming

On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore

We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
How soft your fields so green
    Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
    We are your overlords

On we sweep with threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing
