:Magicwow4: …. you never struck me from where you are in your fandom with this ongoing unlikable position you’re in that you might get hammered or high :giggle: and get actually excited with anything about this team.  I kept waiting for the punch line.

I’d say VERY unexpected, lol! I’ll take it! Great to pull out a close win finally. Schroder saves the day, Russ played great, Lebron with that vintage chase down block. Awesome.

I'm not sure why it's soo surprising, these guys have played hard and competed against every good team that we have faced, since AD went down. Your eyes aren't lying to you, they aren't rolling over and giving up in any game, regardless of who's playing or not. Unlike last season when we were getting blown out by double digits early in the 2nd half on a regular basis.

You expected that Dennis Schroder would make a steal in the final 10 seconds, come down the lane, finish falling down while getting fouled and make the FT to go up by 2 points? Man, I’m bringing you to Vegas with me next time Slick! That was pretty surprising with the way we have been doing the opposite for the last bunch of close games and against good teams. Usually it’s us with the lead, blowing the last plays and losing - ala Dallas, Philly, Sacto.

But to your point, we have been hanging around in these games and getting it close to the finish line without AD, Reaves and Walker and that is incredibly impressive to me. Props to the team for fighting hard and to Ham for keeping them in the mix despite missing 3 of our best 5 players for weeks now.

Lol..No not the particular plays that get made. I'd be living in Vegas too, if I had that ability. I was referring to the fact that I did assume, that we would be in a position to make some plays, in order to win that game before it started. We have done this consistently without AD and the other two guys, that's what I mean when I say that it's not a surprise to me. We haven't always pulled it out no, but just being in the position to have the opportunity, is indeed impressive, especially considering our injury situation.

Law of averages: Lakers have been basically a bad ref call or an unlucky bounce from winning a ton of games. This time the lucky break went their way.

It why stats guys love to look at point differential as a better predictor then schedule in terms of future success

i think latest BPI has us as the 10th best team in the league! ok, really bunched up with several other teams right around there (mavs, kings, suns, heat). but this speaks to your point. we've had a lot of close losses which probably means our record is underestimating our performance a bit.

their projections would have us winnning 39-40 games, which would be pretty amazing given our start and injury issues, tbh. unfortunately, it would have us at 11th in the west if we did that. their projections basically having us playing at the same clip we have been since 2-10 (about 20-16 to finish the year).

man, that start killed us. still can't believe how poorly we shot during that stretch.
