Not a blow out, but finally a road win and at least it was end to end and double digits. Not celebrating too much, let’s get the second one tonight.

i know people will poopoo it if we win, but taking two in a row in back to back nights against the same team--even if they're terrible--is a tough thing to do in the nba. same with beating the same team three times in week. i'll be happy if we can pull out another w.

Based on where this team was, and where they still need to get to, I won’t poo-poo this game if we win. This season, I don’t think any of us fans should after any win since this roster still needs obvious improvements.

Also, being 7-11 is a helluva lot better than 2-10. Beating the crappy teams while losing to the good teams isn’t impressive, but that’s .500 ball, and let’s be real, .500 ball is a major step up from where we were a couple weeks ago.

I'm just putting my hand over the first dozen games of the season and looking at this 5-1 stretch.

    And damn it feels good.

Winning 5 of the last 6 is great. Now we have to get some wins against better competition.

.500 is about the best i expected for the team without a good summer russ trade (which never materialized). i know everyone wants a title contender, but we're not there or very close, imo. i'm just trying to enjoy that this isn't last year, and that we still have a lot of good options in front of us because we didn't pull a panic move in the summer.

Looking at the schedule and assuming no big injuries I think we get to .500 by the New Year, an 18-game stretch.

12 out of 18 on the road
13 of the 18 are teams currently in the playoffs (not play-in)
13 of the 18 are Eastern teams, about the only good thing I can say about this stretch. 9 of the 13 playoff teams are Eastern, only 4 Western playoff teams (Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento). Only about 4 contenders in there (Phoenix, Milwaukee, Denver and Boston) getting back to .500 ball would be acceptable.

A return to .500 ball would be 18-18, requiring 11 wins out of 18 games. Needless to say we will have to beat some playoff teams but the schedule here isn't as tough as it appears if we prove to be a resilient road team. The upper echelon of teams is not too featured here.

Rob pulls the trigger on a Turner/Hield trade we probably come out about the same working in the new guys and start to shine around Allstars. A lot depends on whether AD can give more than a 5-game stretch of glory.

Glad we get the Pacers on a back-to-back for them. We should win that, tamale. (Man! Zubac: 31/29/3 on 14-17 from the field. Hurts...)

Then POR comes in. I don't know, man. I hope we play well and win that one, 'cuz then it's the Road and Bucks, Wiz, Cavs, Raptors, Philly, and DET before we come home and play the C-Bags, the day after my birthday. All I ever want for my birthday is for the Lakers to beat the C-Bags, any year. (We seem to ALWAYS have a game against them in December.)

For the 6 game road trip, anything less than 3-3 will be a serious bummer for me.

If (when?) we beat IND tomorrow: 8-11. A win against the Blazers would put us within shooting range of .500, but that damned road trip is gonna tell us a lot about what this Laker is up to this year. Gonna be brutal cold out East, and the game in TOR is us on a b-t-b, after playing the Cavs.

I think we got a good shot against Indy on the back to back. Portland also without Dame.

I think we probably go .500 on the east road trip, wins against Wizards, Detroit and one other team.

The kid from Akron? Better chance of flipping that and convincing them to sit the Raptors game.

The Zubac game is a one-off, he's had 3 games scoring in the 20's lifetime. It ain't in him to maintain that level of production but hopefully it shaves a little value off of Turner's game who clearly was of no mind set to interfere with Ivica.

We will have to jump another level on this upcoming stretch above and beyond where we are with these last 6 games. Having AD and LBJ hopefully will provide that.

No one is really doing that good this season. Here are some of the expected playoff teams so far:

    Cavs 13-7
    76ers 11-9
    Raptors 10-9
    Nets 10-11
    Heat 10-11
    Bulls 8-11

    Nuggets 12-7
    Grizz 12-8
    Pelicans 11-8
    Clippers 12-9
    Warriors 11-10
    Wolves 10-10
    Mavs 9-10
    Lakers 7-11

C Bags are 16-4 and Bucks are 14-5. While in the west only the Suns are 13-6 and let’s be honest we almost played them to a stand still without Lebron.

This next month is going to be really illuminating.
