AD is an MVP level type of player again. Time to make a move you don't trade guy like this you build around him.

They were able to stay with the Sun's without Lebron. Clearly the losses in the early season were due to a lot of bad luck: injuries plus tough schedule plus getting Russ out of the starting lineup.

West is up for grabs: take your shot Rob

Agreed. We can compete this season if we can make a good trade.

All those things yes, but also awful shooting. We aren’t going anywhere unless they add some shooting. We shot 18% from 3 tonight, 4-22, and Walker and Russ made all 4 of them, no other player hit a 3. But I do like the bones here, Reaves, Walker, Schröder, Bryant, there’s some stuff to work with.

The good: AD is playing like a man possessed. This is the AD who we've been begging for since the bubble. And Bevbum likely got himself suspended at least a game. Addition by subtraction.

it's offensive to fans when you know what a player is capable of doing, and he doesn't do it for 2 years

There are no kudos. It's more like "It's about damn time!" with AD

Beverley: mixed emotions. Glad a teammate stood up for a teammate and put a player like Ayton in his place. But still prefer just about anyone but him on the team, so really can't get excited about giving him any credit.

four consecutive 30/15s doesn't warrant an "it's about time". that's ridiculous.

anyway, done with moral victories. we're starting to play better again, so we need to stack some Ws post-thanksgiving.

    "Lebronshame"

fans can feel whatever they want

I'm done with this roster. You check out and half a** it for 2 years, yes for me, it's about damn time. You get paid bazillions to perform, and you can't find it in your character to give your best effort? I already gave up on your beta a**. No moral victories, and not enough actual W's. Yay for 4 great games. At the end of the day it means nothing unless it goes somewhere meaningful. We know he could put up numbers on the Pelicans, but he was never a winner. Now that Lebronze is old and declining, we won't win squat if he is the leading man. It just is what it is.

Hope for the best, expect nothing. Lessens disappointment, and this squad leads the league in disappointment.

you can feel things, but take your own advice about expectations. his stat line from the last game hasn't been matched by a single player ever. it was about time he did that, i guess.

and it's not 4 great games. he's leading the league in rebounding, averaging 26, being a monster on defense, and his advanced numbers are tracking his prime numbers, too. he's an alpha (hate that stupid term) if any exist. he was hurt for two years.

about the only thing we have going for us right now is the fact that he's under contract a couple more years.

12.6. :) I mean, Wilt managed to average 27.2 one year, but that's different.

Ah, I see... did not read that correctly. I read "leading the league in rebounding, averaging 26 (rebounds)". And it sort of looked like a typo, because it's just missing "1." before 26 to actually be correct! :)

He’s dominating right now. Hopefully Lebron returns soon and we put together another win streak.

Not hampered by any injuries during this stretch same as most good stretches? The guy always looks pretty much the same to me. I don’t have your seeming ability to visually track from your TV screen his body mass index.

Like every other puss Laker not named Kobe when injuries dropped their level of play. IDGAF if healthy whether he’s a beta or not if these are the results. Just keep hoping for health same as every team in the league for their best players.

For sure, we can hope for these results. But I suppose the part I'm referring to since I watched some of this stretch. There is a different aggressiveness. He's "trying" hard. He's not settling for mid range fallaways or 3 pointers.

You can say that was all injury, and Unfortunately I won't believe that's all it was. So yes, when he FINALLY does what he's capable by flipping whatever switch he needed to flip, I'm more "it's about damn time" than "woohoo our star if finally playing alpha".

If his history with us is any indication, this won't last that long. So enjoy it while we have it, but I would stop short of heaping on the praise. That's just setting yourself up for failure.

    and he's my favorite player

Isn’t this the Optimism thread? You can say whatever you want but this isn’t the thread to be dogging AD in.
