Team actually rewarded me for keeping league pass beyond the free trial and staying up to watch the whole game.

Even if they lost: Lakers look much better then last year. They're really good on defense, athletic on the break, found a bunch of quality roleplayers/secondary guys. Shooting is regressing to the mean (poor but not worse of all time).

Still need pieces: need a true C and a CT McCollum type to be a true contender. WOnder what Schroeder can do TBH. If he plays like he did 3 years ago with OKC he could thrive on this team

I loved that everyone contributed apart from just AD and Lebron. We need chemistry and strength in numbers if we’re gonna do anything this season.

Didn’t know where to post this but thought this was a cool angle on Ryan’s game tying shot, I don’t know why but it’s really heartwarming to see the security guard get hyped lol

The Warriors have lost their defensive identity from what I’ve seen. They’re seeing what losing players like GP2, Porter, even JTA does, those types of guys matter. It’s hard to fault them very much though, with a payroll and tax bill that high. But yeah, it’s early, but the West is looking wide open.

Also doesn't help when Dray punches the adopted Splash Brother. They can say everything is fine, but Dray's contract cloud in general isn't good for the locker room.

True to both, they aren't in a good place.
Plus, Wiseman has been awful and I'm pretty sure they trade him, he can't play in their system and has been a huge net negative. Played only 9min today

    warriors thoughts:

    -championship hangover is real
-steph isn't young, nor is klay, and his injuries definitely diminished him
-for all their crowing about their recent draft picks, they're still not delivering and don't look like they'll take up the mantle as expected
-and yes, draymond's a huge issue. the last bill is coming due on him, and it's creating problems as everyone knew it would. of course he's not worth an extension, and of course he wants one. this was always going to happen with him. i was talking about it the second he signed his deal, i think.

they can certainly round into form, and their younger guys can find their footing a bit more as the season goes on, but the draymond problem will persist, imo.

i worry about this a lot with his klutch connection and our likelihood of having cap space this summer. it would be a bad thing, i think. but better than being gs and having to navigate it with his history as part of a dynasty there.

And you think their defense is not looking too good now, imagine how it will be if Green walks?

I really think the league is in a weird upside down place right now. Who knows how this is going to shake out?
