That is one hell of an improvement. It's telling stats like these that makes me appreciate the medium.

"The Spurs are still contenders because, on draft day 2011, they traded for what turned out to be a superstar bridge in Kawhi Leonard, back when the Lakers were in the midst of a screw-the-draft era. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak was concentrating on win-now moves at the time while deferring in the draft to his then-assistant, Ronnie Lester, who told people his 2011 second-round gems Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock would be better than Leonard."

Dagger to my stomach. Please tell me we didn't pass on Leonard, he was taken before we got there?

Leonard was taken 15th in the draft. Morris was taken 41st and Goudelock 46th in the draft.

As ridiculous as it seems now, Leonard did not look like a perennial All-Star to me in college. I watched him live a few times and he seemed okay, but Leonard has really worked on his offense to be the player he is today. The Spurs were the perfect place for him. Still to say Goudelock and Morris would be better is... silly.

I actually check the standings now on ESPN. Something I haven't done in a couple of years.

We did an outstanding job in the latest 3 drafts , both in 1st and 2 rounds ... I mean JC and Nance have been absolute steals ... and I'm positive Zubac will become an useful backup at some point too ...

It took the Lakers new management some time to adapt but I think we are headed in the right direction

is Ronnie Lester, Jims friend, former bar tender turned scout? On side note, Morris did look like someone with great physical tools for PG, fast, big, 6'6 ish....a shame he couldn't shoot worth a lick. If only we could've combined Morris/Goudlock into one player, he would've been better than Russell lol

I'm sorry. That's only a "dagger" for the first half of that gif. It looks like he's doing something else entirely for the second half. ;)

Why you gotta go and ruin a masterpiece like that? Of course, I could edit it and focus on the second half

Warriors have been blowing out teams since they lost to us, also came into this game mad that we beat them twice already. Missing two key players I expected a blowout.

Hoping next game is a tad closer.
