Beat down of Utah AT Utah a night after beating Denver at Denver, that’s almost unheard of. For the past however many years I wouldn’t have dreamt of it, this team is legit.

More impressive is how AD outplayed Jokic and Gobert and turned them both into amateur centers. If there was any question who the best big man in the game is, it was answered these past two games in a dominating fashion.

Good teams win on the road
Good teams beat teams they are supposed to beat
Good teams have winning records against solid competition*

    Great teams do all 3

Keep this train moving full steam ahead

*oops Lakers haven’t played Jordan and his 3 peat teams so it doesn’t count yet.

When the Lakers wax the Clippers on Christmas, all that will change.

Seriously, I like how this team is handling business. Win as much as possible, build a cushion for the eventual swoon if there is one sometime this season.

I'd like to think we have not completely jelled yet.

Well, Lebron and AD are no Shaq and Kobe, but there is a precedent this could work fine with no clear cut third guy.

Yeah, they were 8-1 at home, but had just lost 4 in a row on the road. I'd say usually they are great at home, but are currently struggling.

I'm not going to look too deeply into it. 19-3 is absurd.

It's time to start giving AD credit for saving Lebron's career and helping him save face in LA. His record without AD is pretty abysmal. /sarcasm

i believe the criterion is: good teams don't lose to the lakers. ergo: pretty much everyone is bad.

i said this exact thing in response to metta's post yesterday that kuz wasn't cutting it as a 3rd star. when your first two are this big, it's not necessary. it's why i wasn't on suicide watch when kawhi went elsewhere. we've got two of the best 5-6 players in the game. if they're healthy, opponents need to be very concerned.

i had the jazz feed last night, and harpring was just like...yeah, those two are really, really good. good luck, jazz.

Fans were complaining nonstop on the Jazz game thread that Harping tries to be too unbiased. Their fans can’t stand him calling the games.

It feels like a matchup thing... some of the good teams like Utah, Denver, Miami seemed like trash when we played them... and some lesser teams took us to the limit. A lot will be known when we replay the Clippers and the Raptors and how we respond. If we can dominate them in the rematch... if we can bounce back against Dallas then you know this team should be the favorite to win it all. If we continue to play poorly against those teams then you know they have our number and need to make some adjustments or that one last acquisition.

I've got to say, I think that was the most satisfying game of the year for me. We beat Denver, second place in the West in their house, something that is very hard to do. Then we follow it up with a complete beatdown of the Jazz in Utah where we haven't won a game since 2015, on the second night of a back to back, with half of our guys having the flu!

That was tremendous. Now let's keep the party rolling!

yeah, when lebron was sock dancing, their play-by-play guy went apoplectic. i thought he was going to try to run on the court and tackle lebron. you could tell harpring was like...you know if we didn't suck so bad, this wouldn't be happening...but he seemed to sense that he was supposed to get in on the anger and half-heartedly said the jazz should file it away for the next game.

but in context, you knew he wasn't talking about blood vengeance on the lakers but rather having some pride and discipline, particularly on defense.
