Got to get the W vs. D'Lo & BKN (Josh! Lock him down!) and finish this little roadie 2-2 because after this we got one mean 7 game stretch before we get a little, and I mean a little, breathing space. All West playoff teams this stretch except the Pelicans but that's only because they are in the west, they are still 15-16. Horrible stretch, real test coming. 5 are home, and the 2 roadies are Cali so use that fellas.

LBJ and AD and keep the kids would make me happy but we'd then have 2 years more off Lebron's shelf life gone. Leonard or Durant this summer would be swell. :p

I never said that. I merely said we look great without him. Although after todays game who even knows anymore

In that case, I'll take Leonard. KD is too sensitive to be likeable.

Wasn't intending to address you specifically...just felt like the general vibe of the board was "we don't need BI"...and I disagree whole-heartedly with that sentiment. He's our best defensive rated player to play starter type mins (min 30 mins per).

I'd still love to see a starting lineup of Zo, Hart, BI, Lebron and McGee - our best possible defensive squad. Won't happen as Kuz is playing too well to go to the bench now though.

Lets ignore the record for now. I feel like we're already in a better place than the last couple of seasons. I'm satisfied with how we're coming along. Do we still need a strong presence in the middle? Yes. I don't know how likely it would be for us to get AD, but if the b-ball Gods loved us enough that would imo, be the glue we need.

LeBron is distributing the ball to the other guys nicely and helping them come along as well and I like the direction we're headed. I know my comments are cliche sounding and it seems like I repeat the same thing, but it's only from the games I've been able to catch.

Probably has to do more with the lack of depth, but yeah, we're a better team when BI is healthy.

We've got a 30+ MPG heavy-rotation starter out along with what is probably our 6th man over KC even, both of which account for
    23.7pts
    8.5reb
    8.7asst
    1.9stl
and a whole lot of defense. It makes a huge difference to our depth + BI will get better as the year goes on and he jells with LBJ

Helluva Lakers fan! (She cLippd on occasion, but I felt that was always more to support other LA teams).

And it belongs in this thread because she was such an amazing fan/person!

We think west is a bloodbath, well it's gonna get bloodier for us before the year ends.

    Our 2018 remaining games.
    Pelicans
    Grizzlies

    Warriors
    Kings
    Clippers
    Kings

A couple of slips and we could be out of the top 8 entering 2019. A couple of surprises and we can be #3.
Precarious and volatile positioning in the west can never get more real. But I still expect us to end the year with 4W and 2L for a respectable 22W-15L entering January. Should be good for rank 3-6.

really? lebron and a bunch of non-stars is a 50-win team in the east, so probably a 46-win team in the west. we're on that pace, right? i think our record is about what i expected. the manner in which we win and lose games has surprised me, but not the net outcome.

you're right bout the record being whats to be expected but I'm really disappointed in certain aspects of their gm. Ft's, inconsistent efforts...we have a losing record against teams with below .500 records. We're not exactly power house that can afford to lose to the non-good/great teams, the Orls/wash/spurs loses are really disappointments to me.

oh, those are disappointing. but had they won those and lost to denver, portland twice, memphis, and indiana (all would roughly be expected based on performance of all teams thus far), would you feel differently overall? honest question.

i agree that the team has missed a chance to get some padding in the win column early, and it may very well come back to bite them. but i would also say that i fully expected this winning percentage at this point in the season. i hoped for more but expected this.

The team with so many young core players will be inconsistent, no question abot it. We are positioned better than most people expected, fans included. We need to make the playoffs and it’s not like we’re winning it all with this team anyway. That would be impossible. Let’s just enjoy the journey this season, it is so much better than in the previous years.

Remember how s****y cleveland looked every year until the playoffs? Everyone would dump on Lebron, but @Weezy would always try the antijinx, assuring everyone they'd be in the finals. That's us this year, but our finals will be WCF since we're in the...west
