Wins might come by committee but championships don't. In order to win it all....you do need superstars in this league.

yeah, i think if the lakers wanted a 45-50 win ensemble cast, they could have done that already. if that's what this grows into, i think they'll be super disappointed. the losing and high picks and cap space were supposed to amount to a minimum of one superstar.

How long is Paul George signed to Indy? His expires in 2016? I believe it was a three year deal.

2019 is when he's a free agent. Perfect timing for our young core?

oh, since this is the optimism thread...though i expect tons and tons of losses, the first two preseason games have been WAY more watchable than games last season. real ball and player movement, even some intensity on d here and there. it looked like...basketball!

Gotta say, win or lose this team is a heck of a lot easier on the eyes, especially when those 3 balls are dropping.

Golden State left their starters a majority of the time in tonight's game. Our team was down double digits most of the time reaching 18 at one point. A season or two ago, it would have stayed there or increased even. I like that they did not stop plugging away at it. There is still a long road ahead but given how they collectively approach the game makes cheering for them much more easier.

Didn't watch the game. Looking at the box score though, it looks like the Dubs made more of an effort to win the game. For a team as young as ours, losing by less than 20 to them feels like a win.

I love when Black and Nance come into the game. No matter how far down we are, we always seem to make a run. Their energy and hustle makes such a difference. Ingram is coming along nicely. With the ball in his hands, he seems more involved and aggressive. Swaggy had another nice game.

If we have this kind of efficiency, we won't be completely run off the floor by the elite teams and should win a handful of games against the mid-tier or lowly ones.

Glad we got to play GSW twice during the preseason. Great experience for the younger brother team to play against the big bro and seeing some of the same sets.

This, I haven't found myself screaming at the tv at all. I haven't cursed Luke's name yet and questioned any stupid decisions, which I had done game 1 preseason under that other guy. I like this team, we won't win a ton, but I see progression. Last night for example, Luke put Ingram in positions to succeed and get him going and he did. No way B0ron goes out of his way to do that for a rook last season, that is development, that is how you help young players help themselves.

The only thing I questioned was Luke starting Lou but then found reason for it on this board. This is going to be a very refreshing season and hopefully by the end of the season, we see a lot of promise from this group.
