I love this. We gotta keep this up. Passed Charlotte in the standings, our pick is getting worse and worse for whoever gets it (Boston or Philly depending on where it is, right?). Thrilled we are pulling off road wins like this against playoff teams. I know they didn’t have Aldridge, but we don’t have Ingram and Hart either.

The road to .500 is now 13-7. It would be such a coup to get there but suddenly it seems in reach.

But the more they lose the better our pick. And we can always tell him we've decided on a different direction unless you're willing to come for the MLE. He and his "posse" just bought expensive new homes in L.A..... what's he going to say ... No? Kid probably already enrolled at Notre Dame in Sherman Oaks. And you know what they say... happy wife means happy life. Got him by the short hairs.

Enjoy this amazing run and hopefully the rest of the way bit by bit. Let's start with next week. One week at a time. That way, we don't get too caught up with the idea of making the playoffs. We'll get there if and when we get there.

    vs Portland on Monday
    vs Magic on Wednesday
    @ Nuggets on Friday
    vs Cavaliers on Sunday

It's an easy 1-3 call for the week. Or is it? We should definitely beat if not blow out the Magic. We don't and we go back to the drawing board, fire Walton and trade BI, Zo & Kuz right away.

Both Portland & Nuggets are the critical ones. Beating them means pulling them both back while we further ourselves forward. It's okay if we drop both. Realistically, that'll probably happen. 1-1 would be great. They do 2-0 and I'm definitely on board with the playoff ship. I'd gladly be the captain of that ship.

vs Cavaliers should be hardest one. 1 because Lebron's team is in danger of dropping out of the Top 4 and 2, if they can't win against a perceived "lottery team" during a critical stretch in the regular season, they'll be lucky to make it through Rd2 of the playoffs. So expect them to pour it all out.

A 4-0 next week would definitely send shockwaves across the league and bone-deep through PG's body that we're coming for that PO spot.

But then again, we remain a 28-34 team as of now. I'm keeping it conservative & real and say it should be a 1-3 week, 3-1 at best.

The game that will be telling for me is @Nuggets.

They are fighting for that last spot in the playoffs and are just as young and feisty.

...missing Ingram and Hart has everyone upping their game to do more, be more aggressive. Caldwell-Pope and Ball come to mind. We already know that Thomas will and so does Randle maxing out on effort. No doubt about those two.

It wasn't my favorite, just because we played pretty poorly most of the game and in a way didn't deserve to win. But . . . it was easily one of the most impressive wins of the season because we were down huge, playing like garbage and then stuck it to the ultimate veteran team in their own house. You don't find a better coached team or one with more experience than the Spurs and we just killed them down the stretch. That was huge!!! 4 and 0 on the road trip. We are clicking so well even with two of our major guys down. Amazing!

A lot to ask of our shorthanded crew, the next four games against healthy teams playing their best ball...except well maybe Cleveland.

    1-3: realistic
2-2: mildly surprising yet not THAT surprising
    3-1: wtf!? (smh) :)
4-0: break out the shot glasses... Straight no chaser.

If they are within striking distance early in the fourth of every game, I like our chances. Kuzma has to come up big and so does Ball who needs to take it upon himself to provide offense. Caldwell-Pope has to play disciplined. As before, I see Thomas taking the reins to be the closer and Randle's energy to keep us in it. I'd be more keen on how Zubac will keep up with his contributions off the pine than Lopez.

Cool! And I liked reading this as I think it shows everyone is more than happy with Luke ....

They, meaning Magic and Rob Pelinka, are completely empowered to do what they think is best in delivering that product that is a roster that will play the style of basketball that Luke brings to us."
