    LOL Byron (at least to me anyway) will remain in infamy for the rest of his days. I doubt ill ever be able to think about him as a the showtime player he once was

    I haven't typed his real name in forever. Maybe a year, maybe more, I forget. He's B0ron, now and forever. On the actual optimistic side, media day and training camp are only about a week away now.

    I think the season will be about development rather than futile stagnation. With the coach formerly known as a fantastic player gone. I just feel he demoralized, antagonized and attempted to break so many players. I can enjoy wins and tolerate losses that are caused by his malignant idiocy.

    I believe Ryan Kelly if not put at SF etc, would have been less of a pariah around here. Randle, Clarkson, Ingram, Nance, many talented players that Luke can shape. Luke will not be perfect, he may not be a savior, but he is a coach who is not flawed as a coach (Brown), flawed as a leader and motivator (D'antoni) or the gift that keeps on giving Boron who would rather see the ship sink on his watch than play the wrong way (memo to Boron, losing is not playing the right way).

    Watched some old footage of Magic the other day, watching him the other day posting up, shooting 3's, the baby hook, reminded me of how complete player he was aside from the otherworldly pg skills.

    Well technically optimism is feeling good about the future, not comparing now to a time that was worse. Just restrict the mentioning of you-know-who to his chemical form: [​IMG] from now on to avoid unnecessary upset.

    For optimism: I was just at UCSB on Sunday for my kid's move-in day, they are pretty pumped up about having the Lakers there at the school in a few days. I may have to pull some visits to see the kid in the new few weeks.
