Yeah really. But obviously it's better starting with the defensive turn around first like they did. Props to Luke and staff. We still have no name for who's most tasked with defense.

And again, they are getting good looks every game .... just not hitting shots right now. And FTs.

The defense is awesome. I can't believe I am saying that.

KCP, Hart, Bogut, and Brewer are all not just willing defenders, but eager defenders. It's such a tremendous change from last year and it really helps push Ingram, Ball, Randle, and Kuzma to be better defenders.

We are starting to be able to seriously clamp down. That was cool.

Phoenix is second in the league in setting PACE and averages 107 pts per, yet we held them to 90!!!!!!!!

Made them shoot 39%!!!! 6 blocks!!!!!! 6 steals!!!!!!!!!

Heck, even Zo showed some emotion tonight on good D only to be bailed out by a whistle!!!!!!!

    Our D is orgasmic!!!!!!!!!

Damn...I forgot where my towel is.

We haven't been this good defensively since.... 2010?

Absolutely refreshing even if our offense makes me tear my hair out.

Last game against them we gave up like 130, tonight 93, that’s progress. This was a much needed win after 3 losses in a row, brought us to 6-8, tied with Utah for 10th in the West, barely behind OKC, and ahead of the Clippers. :giggle: Staying within reach of .500 just makes me feel better than starting to drift away from it.

loved that the lakers started pressuring that high screen on booker late in the game. he got flustered, and phx didn't have a counter because they're so hellbent on propping up booker's game at the expense of the team (imo).

it's only 14 games in, but i guess i owe luke an apology. after the preseason and games 1 and 2, i mocked the time spent on defense given the on-court results. since that time, this has been a good defensive team, as promised. i was highly dubious and was suggesting that they just go out and try to outscore people.

Even now it’s just hard to see the standings when for so many years where the Lakers were where the warriors are and the warriors were at the bottom. I cringe and think what happened. I can’t get comfortable with this. To do so would make me a clippers fan.

It's been 7-8 years since I've been able to see a lead and go "ok now lock-down time" and see it actually happen. I think some of those close ones got to them. That's the difference between this team and before. Solid defensive presences in the locker room in KCP, Brewer, Lopez, Bogut. Build a culture by example not story-telling.

Can anyone think of good college shooters who then couldn't throw a pea in the ocean in the NBA? Lonzo and Ingram have to turn it around eventually, right?

They will my man... They will... Remember these guys are only 20 years old, they'll continue to grind it out in the off season. They need Kobe Bryant school and Lonzo needs to tweak his jumper
