Heh! .... yeah you and Julius.

    :JuliusPumped 1:

Which BTW ..... since when did Julius downgrade into merely an "energy big"? That's whack ...he's always had great skills and he is using them more than ever this year.

He was downgraded by Luke and the coaching staff unfairly. I think we've all been on board with that.

Of course, that's assuming that we would have drafted those players in those slots. Our draft history the last few years is better than that.

Meaning you don't agree, right? But I've seen him here mentioned in trades with that as his limited value or more importantly erroneous lack of value to us going forward. If he keeps up with this consistently he is turning into Draymond Green lite who happens to score more down low than shoot 3's. At his best now that's no exaggeration.

Also, it means we couldn't have made better use of those drafts picks in other trades. We were hamstrung for years by the fact that we didn't have enough assets to compete with other teams in free agent trades. We also could have used that trade exception (thrown into the Nash trade) as an asset too. Letting Dwight walk for nothing was a catastrophe.

Whatever. We have the C-Bags to focus on tonight.

Well yes and no. It's just somewhat relieving to look back and see the players our draft picks turned into. Those are the players that were taken with the picks we gave up, but here's a list of some of the players we missed out on:

2013- Allen Crabbe, Alex Abrines, Isaiah Canaan, Jeff Withey, Mike Muscala, James Ennis, and Joffery Lauvergne
2014- Spencer Dinwiddie, Jerami Grant, Nikola Jokic, Nick Johnson, Walter Tavares, Dwight Powell, *Jordan Clarkson*
2017- Frank Mason III, Ivan Rabb, Semi Ojeleye, Jordan Bell, Dilon Brooks

All in all... Jokic is a massive miss, but to be fair just about everybody screwed that one up. Jokic went 41 in the draft! Other than Jokic, I'm so far not terribly upset by missing on those players. So far it was still a worthwhile gamble. I have a feeling that changes this summer with the 1st we give up to Boston, but things could have been much worse from this trade re: the draft. Imagine giving up the Russell or Ingram picks? We'd be in a state of true disarray.

He's still far from Draymond, but certainly this is the best I've seen him play. I know I've been morphed into a Randle hater, but I'd like to see him play more. It can't do anything but help right now in a lot of different ways.

We've been in every game this year minus the opener. Despite the fact that we started similarly last year, unlike this time last year, our next 8 games are all winnable
    @WAS, @MIL, @PHO, PHI, PHO, DEN, CHI, @SAC

I had us at 3-8 at this point and the next 8 games would be a makeup section and get us to, 8-11 or so. I think we can be 10-10 easy after this period. And then the schedule toughens up a bit in December, once again, but hopefully we don't face Dec with major injuries again

We could have easily been blown out after the first quarter but we battled in the middle two quarters.

Just repeating what I’ve said before basically, that’s 3 nationally televised games, and we were in all of them til the end. We look competetive and like we have some really nice young players to a wide audience. If LeBron and/or George are watching, they’re seeing major promise. Both did have the night off by the way. I mean let’s be honest, do you want to keep playing with Melo (the Knicks and Porzingis are ballin without him, hmm), or Zo, Ingram and Kuzma..

My measure of caring about this team is being really annoyed at losses now whereas the last few seasons have been of numbness...

Overall, 5-6 while starting two rookies and a second year guy is not bad at all.

We could be easily 7-4. 2 of these loses are on Luke and Luke alone...

Optimism thread and I’m not really on board with all the Luke criticism. For all the anger, moving Randle to the bench appears to have been the right move and has worked for the most part. He definitely needs to work on his rotations but he’s a young coach. He should grow and get better.
