Tanking is the only option right now. Since most of this roster is complete garbage, it doesn't even hurt the players mentality because they won't be around here for godes sake...

The Lakers should start wearing their Sunday Whites. As we run on the court it will be like symbolically waving five white flags. Hopefully it will encourage the opposition to score on us and keep up the tank (NY beat OKC unheralded).

I know every loss helps and for that I don't get pissed over losses right now. That being said, I still root for our boys to win and love to see us pull one out from time to time. Tonight we played a good team (in the West) and a great team (in the East... cause the East is garbage) and beat them. There are going to be times this season where we will win a game or two heck we may even put a 2 to 3 game streak together at some point. It is bound to happen. I'll enjoy those moments cause I know we have no idea how to close games most nights.

Nice game from the Lakers. Needed that. No worst losses in a row record and Hill, Clarkson, Ellington playing real well and good team effort.

Agreed. Another meaningless win; I guess you can't lose them all though, right? :)

We play the Knicks; it'd be good to lose that game; Orlando is 'close' to replacing their head coach according to Woj...that could help us. Jacque is awful. Mike Malone would be a good fit there. They'd be better defensively and they might start to win more...

I just hope they don't use this game as momentum and go on a 2-4 game win streak.

Good win, but we really need losses. We NEED that top 5 pick....that should be number 1 goal now this season.

Guys relax. One win in January isn't going to be the difference maker.

I loved watching that game. It felt good watching a Laker team battle and win for once in about 3 years. Sure we could have used the loss, but I don't want to accept that and when they earn a victory I'm going to be happy about it. They're still going to lose a lot of games this season and I still firmly believe we're going to get that pick.

Not going to lie, felt good to get a win against the oh so happy now Pau Gasol. Again, no disrespect to him and I'm rooting for him to at least win the east, but it was nice to get a W over him here at home. Now, let's get back to the tank because protecting that pick is paramount.

In the next 4 games we will win 2 of them. Have you seen who we're playing. This is why I kind of hoped we didn't win last night even though I'm embarrassed to admit this

You are not alone in hoping for the lost. Yes in the end a win or loss inn January might not matter but it's safer to lose against the good teams to protect our tank. Our schedule becomes a lot easier and it actually makes me a little nervous. Even at the 4 spot, the way our luck has been lately, we could easily fall out of the top 5 picks. The biggest slap in the face would be the 6th pick.
