He's looked better in Chicago mostly because he's next to a defensive center. He isn't the last line of defense like when he was with us.

Me, too. It would have been more pouting and grumbling here on a losing team. Wouldn't be good for either party. RE: the FO offering Pau a no trade, I get that. With a lower contract they were trying to sell him on closing out his career alongside Kobe. Glad that he turned it down and moved on. Best for all.

At this point I'm rooting for Chi to go all the way. I don't want to see SA win another. Nor do I want to see knuckleheads like Houston or the Paper Clips though I am not convinced either one will go that far. Don't want to see OKC do it either as I am hoping against hope that we can convince Durant to bolt in 2016. Won't happen if he's winning there. Of course I don't want to see the CHEAT or Cleveland either.

Well true, and good for Pau but is that actually to his credit or discredit? Giving up on his team since 2011 due to mental issues or whatever. Sorry I just have a hard time having respect for someone when they're making almost 100x the average US annual salary playing a game and need to go somewhere else to get their head straight to do the job at the level that's expected of him. I love Pau for what he achieved here in the 2 1/2 seasons prior to that but you gotta belt up to keep those big boy pants from falling down sometimes and did not happen.

Only reason front office probably offered him that deal is so they can try and persuade Marc Gasol to come during the off-season. Mitch isnt stupid.

Anyone with our 3rd quarters statistics? It seems like we ALWAYS play like s*** after the half time.

It probably feels that way because we've played from behind so often, but we're actually better in the 3rd than in the 1st half.

    1st quarter: -4.3
    2nd quarter: -3.2
    3rd quarter: -1.3
    4th quarter: -0.4

The stat can be misleading though because we're usually heavily behind in the second half so the other team might put in their bench or just not try as hard.

Thank You. I was convinced 3rd Q's are the worst but it probably has something to do with what You have mentioned :wondering:

So a miracle win tomorrow anyone? I will be happy if it's a close game, but a surprise is much welcome!

I wouldn't call it a miracle if we win. They're good, but they're a bit overrated. They've played the 22nd most difficult schedule (we've played the third most difficult). We'll have SWAG, and we hate Houston, too.

And the beard is overrated too..he's shooting 37% or smth...still need to watch out for the 3pt line, and keep d-coward in foul trouble.

Terrence Jones and Ariza were the X-factors last time for them.. With the Lakers continuing their history of what seems ALWAYS somebody having a career night against us lol. Im calling out our big men and rotational/perimeter D, again, to show consistency and man up tonight. Show up and show them wassup.

So I got a couple of WMC's for this win.

    1. Some of our guys getting hammered in the paint and no call. I think Kobe would have 10 less shot attempts (on the books at least lol) had he got some of the calls. Didn't mind the limit of whistles but did mind the missing of obvious ones.

    2. Boozer in the 2nd half. He hurt my feeling watching him in the 2nd half.

    3. The bailouts of Elbowbeard. I mean the dude just stumbles into the lane and runs into people throwing the ball up to get foul shots. 90% he initiates the foul.

    4. Horrible rotation (still) by the Lakers leaving 3 point shooters open like the ugly chick/dude at the high school dance. No body want any of that!

    5. J Lin looked shook up by Beverly and elbowbeard. He has to be aggressive from the start.

    6. Coward wussing out of the game.

Another thing which is atrocious is the "passing" of 90% of our players ... They can't pass the ball to save their life

So we got Mavs next. A solid team, not a contender yet, though. With a-hole big mouth owner. I still remember the 27pts comeback of 2002 and cuban's face expression. Props to Dirk though, as the greatest European in the NBA of all times. 9th in All-time scoring, a legit MVP and a champ. He's in my respect list together with Pau, AK47 and Divac...and the Machine of course.
A loss probably, but I hope we make 'em bleed for that win. Protect the 3, rebound, move the ball in a good way and make shots. And then, who knows...)))

Our PG passing sure looks worse than last year. Marshall was a better passer than we've seen in a long, long time. We have willing passers, but they're not too skilled.

So, why did Ed Davis see less than 20 minutes of playing time? I just don't understand. I know Byron likes to play favorites when it comes to veterans, but Ed Davis has earned more minutes.

Mavs look like contenders to me. They've been blowing teams out on a consistent basis.

On a semi-related note, that SW division is just ridiculously loaded. The Grizzlies are the current #1 seed in the West. Rockets and Mavericks are tied for 3rd, and both are on pace for 60+ wins. But the Rockets had a super easy schedule so far so they most likely won't reach 60. Then, 4th in that division are the champions, San Antonio Spurs. Finally, you round that out with the Pelicans, featuring arguably the MVP of the league so far.
