It's either this or we disrespected him in some way along the way, perceived or real. There's no other explanation, he sets career highs against us, he's unstoppable. He's the new Matt Carroll.

i have no answers. all teams leave rubio open from three. basically no one pays. he's their deng.

then after the lakers decide to run him off the three, he starts drilling mid-range pull ups--another one-night addition to his game!

The "Lakers" are preventing me to fully live one of my main passions for the 4th straight season .

I'm 32 and find myself thinking like I'm 60 about the good old days ...

My biggest WMC is who among the kids do we keep?

DLO, Ingram, Zubac, Nance, Randle, Clarkson... we're going to have to give up a few of them at least, to make some decent trades. I'll be super pissed when one of them all of a sudden pops and realizes his potential while on another team.

I wish this process was easy, but any one of them could make us regret trading them.

Yep, I hate the idea of giving up any of the kids, but that may be a necessity if we want to bring in some veterans who can help us transition from bottom of the barrel to an 8th seed squad.

The FO is set upon bringing in a superstar. Either this year or next year.

Typically, the kind of players you put around superstars are 3+D guys, and 2nd and 3rd fiddles who can play off the ball.

Zubac - Does a good job of setting picks (superstars love that), getting open under the basket, finishing around the rim, and decent rim protector. He's even shown some potential as a pick and pop big at times with a decent looking midrange shot. Still very young and could become even better than he is now. Keeper, unless another team offers a big with more talent.

Ingram - Great potential on both ends of the floor. Uses length and speed on defense fairly well for a rookie, very good court vision as a distributor, and he's recently shown that he can attack and finish around the hoop when he's committed. His 2-way potential and versatility make him a keeper.

D'Angelo - Can catch and shoot (+1), distribute the ball (+1), attack the rim when he's focused and can play either the 1 or 2 position. His lack of focus earlier in the year makes him questionable, but IMO still a good piece to put around a superstar.

Randle - He's the kind of player who could use a guy like Larry Sanders/Hassan Whiteside next to him to cover up his lack of defense. His inability to shoot from the outside also makes him a liability on the other end when teams go big in the middle. He has a lot of potential, but so far his progress is incredibly slow compared to D'Angelo, Ingram, and Zubac. I hate to give him up this early, but he's not on my "keeper" list yet.

JC - IMO he's a 6th man scorer/distributor. If you have to give him up to gain a superstar, you do it.

The thing about JC is I think he has a better attitude than some of the other kids, like DLO or Randle IMO.

He still has potential to become a starter if he could concentrate on becoming at least a serviceable defender.

I don't know. I think Larry is maxed out. Tarik is maxed out. Jc is very close.

I don't disagree with JC's attitude, but you have to keep in mind that JC spent 3 years in college before coming to the NBA. When JC was D'Angelo's age he playing at Missouri. Not dealing with the pressure of trying to perform against grown men on the most popular NBA team full of impatient fans.

JC's age/maturity is another reason why I don't see him improving as a defender despite his athleticism. He spent 3 years in college, and 3 years in the NBA. He's had no significant injuries in the NBA preventing him from developing his defensive skills. It's not like he's not trying to defend on the court, he just doesn't get it.
