So I take back what I said about Russell. I'm looking at this again myself and it does look like Lillard went out of his way to bump Russell prompting the response. Still don't like how the team responded though. They'll get one more crack at them though I'm not optimistic what with the game being in Portland.

I forgot to add this to the thread yesterday.

Ingram's free throw shooting. Gotta improve that young fella. No way should he be shooting 50% from the line in these games or close to it.

Think for the year he's below 70%

This game was the pure definition of getting shat on. And to make matters worse had to listen to the Spurs broadcast.

AS I said in chat - this is really embarrassing. Yes, I know the Spurs are a great team, but this is just unacceptable.

That there is no "Mercy Rule"

That was just harsh. Just how big are your balls guys? Where's the pride?

After the countless blown leads and multiple 30+ pt loses, hard to say if they have any during the tough times.

Thank goodness I saw the final score without watching the game. 2 hours of life saved.

I didn't know this game was on so early, turned it on with 1:45 to go in the 4th, saw the score, laughed, and changed the channel. I know we're gonna lose more than we win, but have some damn pride and don't get beat by 40 points.

    Glad I missed this game.

When I take a look at the stats, I want to b**** slap every player in the face. That was pretty much a refusal of work.

watched the first half plus a few minutes of the third quarter...man, the starters just got WORKED. in fairness, it was more the spurs's starters destroying everyone (walton's massive sub early in the third did nothing to stem the tide). early in the game, i thought the spurs were shooting at an unsustainable rate. and i felt vindicated when the lakers got to within 4 or so in the second quarter.

but i was wrong...the defense is just that bad. not sure what buttons walton can push, because there simply aren't enough guys who pride themselves on defense on the roster. it's not like you can bench russell for....huertas or calderon? or randle for thomas robinson? or mozgov for zubac? there's just nowhere to go.

So, I went to the game against Portland last week.. First time getting to see the new look Lakers in person. I was expecting an exciting game because the Lakers were only 2 games behind Portland for the 8th seed & were on a mini win streak..

Man, I'm not really sure what to say.. I was beyond disappointed with the effort, body language, energy & style of play.. We are still a long ways away from being able to compete at an elite level.
Not sure if the young kids are getting tired or if the losing is getting to their heads, but it looked worse in person than it does on TV...

I humbly recommend watching the first 20 games of the season instead.

Interior defense has just been completely non-existent. Add in lackluster offense from, well, pretty much everyone, and these blow outs will keep coming.
