When we can't beat the heat it's time to start tanking. Trade Lou Williams and Deng. And just let the tanking begin.

The well documented absence of D plus the inability to get the FT line are the reasons for these blown leads ... Even Lou "only matched by Harden" ability to draw shooting fouls hardly masks this weakness

I wouldn't say inability to draw FTs...

To get a lot of FTs, you must either have dominant bigs (like Shaq, Howard etc.) or guards/wings that can take it to the rim (Wade, LeBron, Durant, Harden, Westbrook, ...)

We have players from neither category. Our best bet is Lou, who is very good but guys like Russell, Ingram and Randle aren't exactly that type of players but they are a very big chunk of the offense.

Still...defense is the big deal. You score 110+ points, you are supposed to win. We regularly score 110+ and lose.

    First 12 games....7-5
    Last 20 games...4-16

    December...1-11

    awful trend.

This team must win at least 4 of the next 9 games in order to be on pace to win 30 games. (15 wins in 41 games).

we're not getting a top 3 pick this year, as bad as we have been we will pick it up. No way we're bottom 3 team in the league when the season ends. This is the 76ers pick we're talking about now.

All these draft picks suck anyways... just look at DAR or Ingram ;-).Time to win some games, work on D at practices and pray Luke and co. can attract some FA's next summer.

Take their new music-during-practice privledges away from them until they step their defense up and cut down on the freaking turnovers.

I'd like to echo this - WTF is wrong with us?

The zone worked pretty well for a time. That was nice to see. So, props to Luke for the adjustment. Other than that, same issues - amazingly bad perimeter defense from Huertas (the worst I've ever seen, I think), JC (bad), Lou (bad but with a few optimistic deflections), DA (not so bad), and Nick (not so bad).

Offense? It's just Lou gunning or out of control sprinting to the basket.

Perimiter d can be bad to avg if we had interior presence that opposing players feared

We can disagree on this one. It's perimeter defense first that is the problem, in my view.
