Just saw a report that Payton is beating out Dennis Smith for playing time. That might no longer be a possibility. And what happened to Smith? I thought he was going to be a fast riser. Maybe he come in and benefit from veteran guidance. He has the potential.

We haven't even seen Rondo and Caruso play yet this regular season. I'd like to see how they fit. We need a perimeter wing defender with size like Iggy much more than another PG.

I mean we won, like we beat a really good team, but did we win good enough? I’m just not sure, I’m not impressed, just, meh.

it's good to win on talent, but that will only take you so far.

Luckily we have time to become a unit, so I fully expect the product on the floor will improve immensely by the end of the year.

That preseason game with the Clippers just exposed what happens to talent laden teams in the playoffs without a good system. Your first and 2nd options will be taken away. After that, what do you got? Have to be able to go deeper in the bag of tricks, and we didn't have any.

looking for more new tricks every week

I didn't mean THAT Dwight. Calm down.

I actually loved the defense. This alone will get us into the playoffs and hopefully the offense will be clicking too sooner or later. I love what Bradley, Dwight and Green are doing. Now we just need AD to adjust his game and MCG to start doing something useful. But it will happen.

We started off poorly defensively but really buckled down there.

Offense is still a mess though. We run some very basic stuff that ends up just being an iso for Lebron or AD. Lots of empty ball/player movement. Luckily we actually have shooters this year.

We need McGee to figure out what hes doing, Rondo not to mess things up, KCPoop to stop playing and Kuz to come back to anchor the bench scoring so we don’t have to rely on one of the guards heating up.

I've given up on KCPuke. But I agree with the rest, alam1108. I'll leave that scoring bench role to Kuzma, Daniels and Cook.

We need a playmaker who can create and prevent Bron from playing PG. If we didn't have to pay KCP, could've had Rose for less.

Unless we got Kawhi (maybe?) or in @vasashi17 's fantasy GM position.

Kcp has essentially signed 3 one year deals. If you trying to make good with Klutch, you’d think you would throw a bag at the coach Bron most likely wanted (Lue) and would throw a bag at Kcp this summer cause it has no bearing on our cap space to resign AD next summer using his bird rights.

So yeah, weird way to spend a klutch tax.

What don't you get about Lue? The guy never won a ******* game without LeBron in the lineup over the course of 3 seasons. Yes we would think and have so stated that is why he was their first choice .... because of LeBron. They offered him the ******* job! He wanted two more years after James could conceivably be gone. Based upon what did he deserve a 5 year contract other than overplaying his own hand and lack of confidence in himself to deliver??? And fear of Kidd. Vogel took the damn job. Get over it.

Based upon a klutch tax. That’s what you tagged me in for, right?

And I’m telling you if there was a tax to be paid, we would have paid it to keep Klutch happy. Get their players on long term deals. Get those players their coach. Klutch tax paid.

But that’s not what happened here...is it?

Lets say AD doesn’t agree to re-up this coming summer and he uses that as leverage for the Lakers to bring in another Klutch player...we wouldn’t have the necessary cap space to have a bag ready for that player. So why not throw a bag at Kcp this summer cause it wouldn’t even matter next summer unless we give him a full bird max deal. See now if that were to happen, there’s your klutch tax.

It's still all hypotheticals in your head. That we have heard by now literally a hundred times. Why do you keep badgering and sniping any little chance you get to remind us of how you would have HYPOTHETICALLY handled it with having zero first hand knowledge of what went on behind closed doors with all parties and representation involved?

Mcgee, quite sloppy at times and seems quite lost defensively

Refs making weak calls. And the ref challenge thing, hasn’t gone our way once, clearly the one last night should have been changed as AD wasn’t given space to land, but who in the hell thought that an NBA ref would ever admit they are wrong? It’s a terrible challenge system so far. Also they took like an hour to review what was clearly incidental contact from Zeller and AD when you could tell in 5 seconds there was no ill intent, brought the game to a screeching halt.

I was thinking the same exact thing regarding the Coach's Challenge - it's been useless so far and no ref has admitted to their mistake.

It's very pointless and slows the game down big time - I think refs need to be PUNISHED if after the game, the L2 report or whatever shows that it should have been called something else. That's the only way these guys will be held accountable.
