Ugh we are very 'soft'.. Cousins really toughened up the team.

It's very hard to stay positive, he and Kuz are our make or break players.. and we already lost one before the season.

I really wanted to see him play the Clips... !!!!!

Carmelo is done mentally. See Allen Iverson the last couple years in his career. Physically they could both play, its mentally that they can't.

Ya Iverson was tough to witness in his twilight. Was basically drunk and hungover every game.. Was a machine in his prime, he actually won a game against us in the finals on pure will/pride.

Melo is finished, I know his ego would resurface too..

Dude can't catch a break on the left side.

Real talk though I don't think its a coincidence its all on the left. Your body even when your not aware of it can compensate and it can cause other injuries down the road.

Just feel for him so bad

Yes just really sad. Can you imagine the grind he put himself through to be coming back from the achilles in time for the playoffs and then doing really well, and then the quad happens and somehow he manages to get back even then at the end of the playoffs .... and just continuing to work now in the off season and knowing he's feeling good and excited to ball on a team he always wanted to play for with these players .... and then BOOM. Back to square one at the absolute worst timing in his career.

took a whole page of reading before I saw the injury.

Unbelievable. I guess now Kuzma really does have an opportunity to be our 3rd star.

    :LLLLLebronsniveling:

how much did we just pay him to sit out? Bummer.

:Addrinking:“I would probably say the Clippers just because of where they were last year and the players that they have,” Pippen told Drew Ruiz of SLAM. “They already have the confidence and feel like last year they dominated the Lakers. Now, you give them the Finals MVP and one of the top defenders in the game in Paul George. That sends their confidence up through the roof. With the Lakers, I don’t think a guy going into his 17th season can really carry a team the way he needs to carry [it].

“I think LeBron will be competitive. Having Anthony Davis out there is going to give him a bit of an edge. I think they’re going to be a lot more in terms of when they face the Clippers because they have too many guys they can throw at LeBron. They already have thrown Beverly at him, so now you got Kawhi to throw at him, Paul George to throw at him. Anthony Davis is going to be a tough matchup night in and night out, but he’s only one player.

“LeBron James is not going to be a tough matchup. He’s going into his 17th year in the League. You’re talking about Kawhi who’s still in his 20s [and] Paul George is probably still in his 20s. It’s a changing of the guard and they’re probably going to have the pass the torch over and let the Clippers be the best team in Los Angeles.”

That’s a reasonable take by Pippen. I just don’t agree. But, we shall see...

He knows how it feels to be in your 17th season and take impeccable care of your body.

He also knows what it's like to own your own 747 jumbo jet LMAO.

But in terms of basketball alone, a 17 year vet is not carrying the Lakers. I'm riding with Caruso and crew, and hopefully Bron has a little left in the tank for the playoffs.

It emphasizes the need for us to sign Iguodala. If the Clips get him sorry to say, we have a very tough road past the Western Conference finals. With him, things change. We can put Iggy/Green on Kawhi/PG and they still have LBJ and AD to deal with while Beverly contends with a hopefully returned-to-form Bradley.

According to a rumor that came out last night via ClipCast and it's two hosts, a source close to Iggy informed them that he will join the team on September 3.

It's about 4 mins in or -45:40 on the reverse counter there 2 guys are damn near unbearable to listen to, they're in a state of insane glee atm like a 12 year old girl that gets her first pink iPhoneXS:

This would count as a big loss imo by Pelinka and Co if it happens. We can guarantee Iggy a whole lot more important minutes. I am also hopeful that Iggy's recent praise of Rob as his former agent counts for something here. I would like to think so and can't imagine how it doesn't. It would be so nice if Iggy/Rob played the Clips here and we get Iggy as Kawhi/Clips played us with Kawhi's signing.

Nope Clips are over and have vet mins just like us. They could trade Harkless but it's said they don't want to. I'm assuming this is buyout but who can know. Also there is talk the Griz won't trade without out a first rounder in the deal (which the Clips have none after PG's trade I believe) so again, who knows. Don't think this is a money thing for Iggy assuming Memphis doesn't try to stiff him too much in a buyout. I think this (Iggy) is a lot more important to us than has been talked about. I think he is key to us and the Clips want him first and foremost just to to keep away from us rather than as a player. Right now no reputable media outlet is backing this Clipper hype.
