I do not know if anyone answered this but can the Lakers use the remaining cap space on a trade exemption for Bradley Beal if the Wiz were open to that? That's the part of the CBA I do not know a lot about.

Wishful thinking that we open the AD trade up to include Beal but don’t the Wizards still not have a president?

It wouldn't be part of the AD trade, just a straight swap. BB to LA for Trade exception. I do not know if that works but wanted to know if it did.

yes, but they'd want assets. Seeing how we gave up a butt lizard of picks, not sure how that would work. I don't think they are THAT desperate to get off of his contract.

they're not at all desperate to get rid of beal. his cost would be almost as high as davis's, imo--because a) he hasn't demanded a trade and b) he has two more years on a fairly friendly deal.

I'm not made at all about our Front Office nor am I totally upset that we didn't sign Kawhi. What I'm pissed about is 2 things:

    1) He choose the Clippers

    and more upsetting is

    2) How the hell did LAC get Paul George for a treasure chest of picks and only Gallinari and SGA. How do you not ask for Shamet or Harrell. I mean future picks are cool, but those are proven young assets that if I'm OKC how the hell do I not ask for one or both of those pieces.

By all reports PG asked to be traded but why did Presti have to trade him so fast and not ask for quality talent back now with Westbrook (who is going to be pissed) to try and compete. This was a terrible job by Presti to not get more value back.

I agree as I said in the other thread
Everything about this deal was shady
Why did it not get announced pg requested a trade?
Why did it happen so fast?
    Why did they get crap?
Why did they give in to the demands?
    Everything about it was wrong

Sometimes you do things to make a roadblock to the best franchise in the league and not necessarily for your own gain. That's kind of what happened here. Claps said you want to screw the Lakers over, presti said how can we be of service..

Feels like collusion to make sure Kawhi did not team up with LeBron and AD. I knew the league was scurred, but I didn’t know it was to that degree.

WMC: How f***ing easy it was for OKC to trade PG. Literally us against the rest of the league.

I have the utmost respect for AD now. When he said he wanted to get traded here, him and Rich Paul actually followed thru with it. PG and Kawhi just used us for leverage

I'm glad A.D. is onboard but the supporting cast is questionable at best and LeBron has so many minutes played.... can see the writing on the wall unfortunately.

But I'll smile and act like we're golden from here on out because dwelling on it isn't going to help.

I would do that same gamble again knowing what I know now. Would have set us up for the next 5-7 years.
