ARGH!!! Frustrating loss tonight when we should have won. We had an 11 point lead in the fourth and just could not get the job done at all on either side of the ball. Refs were hot garbage all night. Lillard is just too good. We need a guy like him.

Too bad, Lillard started to make some bogus shots.

Oh well, it is what it is. NBA stars can sometimes get hot and you have to live with the results. Too bad though, cuz with the W we would have killed Orlando and started a tough stretch on a 7 game winning streak. It wasn't meant to be. We would probably still beat them with Ingram and Hart, so I'll take it.

It's the lack of execution on O before Lillard got hot which cost us the game , it shouldn't have been closed .

What doesn't Luke understand with Ennis ? He can't play period and Caruso is better ... talking about beating a dead horse ....

And I upgraded him from Puke to Luke at the beginning of the game. Too soon.

Honestly I'm not expecting to win games with Ingram out. Ingram and Randle keep us competitive. We need both.

i turned the game off when they went down big in the second quarter, so i was sort of pleasantly surprised to see they made a game of it. glad i didn't stay up to watch them get a lead and blow it.

but yeah, they have lillard and we have the one-legged version of isaiah thomas. we lose.

This loss falls squarely on Pope and Thomas. Both of them in the 4th quarter were very selfish. Pope should have gotten the foul call when he leaned in (Portland was getting similar calls all night on our own home floor), but then he tried to play hero ball instead of "staying in his lane". Meanwhile Thomas couldn't hit the open man ALL NIGHT. He routinely missed the easy pass and was fumbling the ball all over the place.

Easily avoidable loss with guys playing uncharacteristically selfish. This is the kind of game that can hurt chemistry. Hopefully they pull it back together. There's no shame in losing to a playoff team when you're a 30-35 win team, but when you've got an 11 point lead in the 4th, you need to be able to close it out.

Also, yet another game where a closer is the difference. Down the stretch, Lillard made shots and we didn't. Paul George. LeBron. Somebody come make the right plays please.

Thats the part of Kobe's game that I'm not missing...namely taking EVERY shot in crunch time. It doesn't matter how good or clutch you are. Making yourself predictable and also not allowing the offense to get efficient is just bad basketball and has always been bad basketball. Sometimes Kobe would make every shot and you would be like "WOW" and sometimes he would take dumb 30 footers and mail the game in and people would be mad.

You do need a closer...but someone who can also read the D and make the right basketball play. Thomas and KCP just aren't those guys.

    My WMCs are:

    1. BI and Hart not healthy for the Portland game and other tough games immediately ahead of us.

    2. IT's shots not dropping and his TOS

    4. KCP and IT in the crucial last minutes with bad play.

    5. Damian Lillard is a BAD man.

At least he doesn't show boat. Dude is just a silent killer and I can respect that. Hits big shots and shows the same chill demeanor.

^^^ star "quality" play. The votes I don't care about. Lillard gets stiffed every year with the votes. Randle for instance may never get votes but his play this year has probably been more impactful than some that got into the All Star weekend. And we have those guys now who are just young. Wait till next year with BI and Lonzo and Kuzma hopefully's continued progression toward that level of play.

And PG obviously. My main squeeze.

Lillard would be a dream. Wish he was a UFA next year.
