We’re losing the ability to be able to say we don’t need Lonzo to win, and by association, the ability to boldly tell Lavar to shut up.

I know it’s a small sample size, but I just don’t see IT being a long term fit here. It takes such a concerted effort by everyone to help him get shots.

And to cover him on D.

If he doesn’t recapture his form, he’s if no use to us.

A healthy midget is a perfect bench guy (and that's it). His "mvp like" season was a fluke plus it shows you how good C Bags HC realy is. We better not resign him (same with KCP and Slowpez).

Keeping IT was never in the plan and we weren't going to make the playoffs this year trade or no trade.

That said, while I was encouraged by some things I saw last night, overall the team and coaching staff is completely out of sync and clearly needs the All Star Break to regroup.

don't like that the team quit playing defense after the trade deadline. and it was pretty pitiful the way they chose to limp into the deadline instead of finishing strong. the dallas game, in particular, was pretty ridiculous.

Well at least they were competitive from the start this time, just didnt have the "jimmy butler" type star to close out the gm

I agree. We should only sign guys who play defense to long term deals. IMO. The offense will come along

absolutely. carlisle's doing a masterful job tanking. he keeps them in most games, then just yanks all of his useful vets and gets stomped.

Pre-game whine, we better not lose this f***** game. The Mavs are openly tanking. Their own told their players they need to lose. He told Dr J they need to lose. He was fined 600K for openly saying he’s tanking. We can’t lose twice to THAT.

Refs were garbage. 34 fts for the Hawks, ticky tack calls all game, Ingram got destroyed trying to dunk and didn’t get the call. Bad reffing is an epidemic right now, I don’t really get it. Oh, and Zaza made things even worse/partially ruined the game, these fouls on 3 point shooters are out of control. Making me actually agree with LeBron.

I think he and Leon Wood are the only notable ex-players I know that are now refs... There's probably others but none come to mind.
