I've said this before, but I prefer Booker slightly over Russell. He's just a bit bigger, bit stronger, bit faster, and a bit more advanced overall.

Booker had 3 straight bad games. He's put together 2 solid back to back games. He has a higher FG% overall, but his 3 point% is lower; he is also not asked to run the offense. He is very talented, though.

booker is definitely ahead, but i'm not sure it matters that much. you want to win the long game, here.

also, booker plays 10 more minutes per game, takes 5 more shots per game, and actually has a lower PER. and his team is worse.

if russell had that kind of green light and role, i'm guessing he could score 23 per, too. and his team might be winless right now.

Booker is on a team where he and maybe 1 or 2 other players are their future so he has all of the green light. Russ is on a team with a bunch of solid young players where ball movement and playing as a team is emphasized.

    This so very much.

I heard Worthy say that, and just shook my head at the all too blatant bone Worthy tried to throw Byron's way.

Mychal Thompson: "Last year they had to deal with Kobe's farewell tour. This year Luke has been a leader and getting the best out of the young players."

Closest to a shot at Byron you'd probably get from him.

That's exactly what I thought but I've already gotten tired arguing about Russell.

We're clearly implementing a team concept and I love it. We will continue to see balanced scoring and a different guy stepping up in that stat sheet every night. The biggest thing for me is we keep seeing him step up and make plays in the clutch and he's getting better and better at managing the game.

I don't think Russell needs to average a ton of points out there, especially with our offense.

All I want is for him to show more consistency from game to game. He doesn't have to score 40, but he needs to shoot better than 2 for 11 or whatever it was. The stats show he is getting the looks so I expect that shooting percentage to go up and be consistent at some point.

Agreed on both statements. Would I rather have Booker than JC? Sure, absolutely, but we got JC with the 45th pick, they got Booker at 13, so I can't complain since they're even comparable. Had we taken Booker at 2 over Okafor and Russ people would have killed us and B0ron would have made him look awful too. This is a long game we're playing, and Russ and Booker are buds I believe, so heck, maybe he comes to LA down the line.

I watched it, but it's hard to look at his face. I have to think it's awkward for those that have to work with him and treat him like a credible resource.

I don't know about Booker/JC. Booker is generally an inefficient, streaky chucker, something we definitely do NOT need on this team. Clarkson's general consistency is something that's quite valuable to this current team.

"Those young guys are finally learning how to play as a team and not as individuals" paraphrased. Yeah Boron they are figuring it out finally on their own .....no change in coaching or the offensive schemes or defensive schemes. No mention of Luke. You just know he believes he would be doing the same thing if they hadn't unfairly "blindsided" him. GTFOH. And yeah cannot stand his face any more.

You've heard of empty stats. Deng is a case of empty vets. An older player that detracts from the team by not being to hold up his end on the court anymore. Troubling.
