Its not happening. If it does happen, I truly think this franchise has no effing clue in what theyre doing. Hes not worth max, plain and simple.

3 guys are grabbing my attention in this early season: Reggie Jackson, Jimmy Butler, Greg Monroe. 2 of them are restricted, but I'd go after Monroe as a UFA. Jackson and Butler are playing really good basketball so far and are two areas of great need right now for us.

Considering we'll probably only be left with about 25 million to spend, I REALLY hope we get that top 5 pick and I REALLY hope we get Monroe for roughly 16.7 million or less. If we get a top 5 pick we can get either Mudiay or a wing (Oubre, Winslow, Johnson). For my dream's purposes I'll say Mudiay.

Available cap space after our two 1st round picks: 22.5 million

    Monroe- 16.7 million (assumed max)
    Lin- 5 million (4/20 million)
fill out with minimum deals (Clarkson, Sacre, Henry, Price, etc.)

    Mudiay/Lin/Clarkson
    Bryant/Henry
    Young/Houston Pick?
    Randle/Kelly
    Monroe/???

Young, solid, and exciting. It would suck to lose Davis/Hill, but that's kind of what I see being more realistic. I don't THINK we get our MLE back, but if we do then let's use it on one of those big men in a similar deal to Young's.

I think that's the kind of team that could attract another free agent or two the next summer.

No disrespect big guy, I love your thinking but Monroe would HAVE to play next to a rim protector. No other way around it because hes more of a natural PF, thats why Drummond plays center for them.

If you do want Monroe,we have to bite the bullet, pass on Lin and use that money to bring back Davis to start alongside Monroe and Randle becomes our showtime off the bench while he gets acclimated with the league. Well we worry about anything else the year after.

The Nuggets have become a train wreak, either Brian Shaw will be fired or they will unload some guys in the doghouse soon. A. Afflalo had to be restrained by team mates from attacking him last night before the 1st half ended and did not play in the 2nd half. J Mcgee is getting no playing time and being paid 11 mil. On Dec 15th teams can trade the FA's they signed which may open up some Laker options. Denver may want to salary dump both Afflalo and Mcgee who have one more year on their contracts...7 mil and 11 mil respectfully... Would they take Nash's expiring deal...9 mil... and Hill's 2 year 9 mil per, team option on the 2nd yr... for those two to wash their hands. Would other teams give them more? Those are big contracts...

No to McGee,his production is not worth the salary. Hes a physical freak in terms of athleticism, but weve all seen how far that can take you at times.

I do like Afflalo, especially @7.5 mill, has a player option for 7.6 mill after this year. Randy Foye makes 3 mill this year and team option for 3.1 mill next tear. Wilson Chandler is tempting @7.6 mill, team option next year for 7.2 mill. Hickson POSSIBLY,makes 5.4 mill this year and 5.6 next year.

Can anybody tell us who IS NOT tradeable? I heard Boozer wasnt, possibly Hill isnt as well?

Hmm... what happened last night? Afflalo isn't on the Nuggets anymore, so that statement is a little confusing to me.

Boy, if we can somehow land Afflalo, that would give us some great direction going into the future. Hes a 2-way player and definitely someone that would excel, and be perfect playing next to Kobe.

    Nash@9 Mill
    Young@5.5
    Clarkson@1
    Kelly@1
    Houstons 1st+2nd

    Affalo@7.5
    Foye@3
    Hickson@5.5

Salaries work. Would you pull the trigger? I would do it, I think its a fair deal that works for both sides.

Wouldnt the upgrade be Afflalo starting, whose a 2-way player and capable of putting up 20+? I included Randy Foye so he becomes our scoring ace off the bench.

But we're losing scoring in Young plus losing youth in Clarkson and Kelly and a 1st round pick. Scoring is probably a wash, defensively we'd get a bit better, but we wouldn't be getting enough back to make up for the massive long term hit we would be taking for our future. We'd be right back in the hole with no prospects, and maybe win 5 more games as a consolation IMO.

But then you got to think of whats in it for Denver lol. Whats your suggestion if any, cause you rather pass, hold on to youth and picks, sign a g/f like matthews/jeff or gerald green etc?

Any scenario where we gain talent without losing youth/future prospects.... UNLESS.... we're actually getting back enough talent that it makes sense to take the risk. That Afflalo/Hickson/Foye deal doesn't give us any of those. I really like Affalo, but that's too much to give for not enough back IMO.
