Lee is a little better at finishing around the rim, and I trust Boozer's jumper over Lee's. But defensively, yes, both are inept.

I'd honestly love Boozer back over bringing Lee in. Boozer has been a good soldier, a good teammate, and has found a pretty great role off the bench. Offensively he's been lights out actually. That crazy looking jumper and the shifty moves around the mid-post have looked really solid.

If we were a contender I'd say he's a perfect fit as some scoring punch off the bench.

I just dont trust Boozer in critical situations. He's either getting beat off the dribble or pushing someone in the bad going for a rebound.

Oh no I don't want him being a big piece playing in big situations. I want him as our 6-7th guy. I want him coming in and keeping the defense honest.

What's this thing I've been hearing about Kobe should go to the Knicks if he wants a playoff chance.

That's pretty funny, especially since they have more losses than us and they have Carmelo.

Some opinion piece from Mannix at SI that Kobe should go to NY.

    - Kobe gets to play for the Playoffs in the awful Eastern Conference.
    - Kobe helps build a foundation for the Triangle so the young players pick it up easier.
    - Kobe does a favor for Phil and his friend Fisher.

    - Lakers get cap space to spend on a new direction this summer.
    - All that cap space puts our rebuild in overdrive.

What it completely forgets is 1. the money and 2. why would we want THAT much cap space this summer? We know Aldridge and Gasol are long shots. Rondo is probably the only guy close to worth the max, so why would we want 25 million more to spend? Who do we spend it on? Do we want that extra 25 million to overspend on a lower tier guy? Maybe we trade Kobe and clear his cap space somehow. Then we spend all that extra cash on Rondo and... Monroe? Is losing Kobe worth that?

Yeah it would absolutely never happen. Kobe is a Laker for life & that's just all there is to it. Even if they DID want to dump Kobe, you can go down the list of every asset a team trading away their franchise player would look for in a rebuilding package & NY doesn't have a single 1. Just writers using Kobe & Phil's names along with the teams in the 2 biggest markets in the NBA to drive traffic to their articles. Nothing new.

With Randle, Black/Davis and hopefully Okafor , we don't need David Lee.
i'm actually hoping for a reggie Jackson trade. with Kobe we don't need a 10+ assits PG, we need a smart player, a good shooter and a good slasher. and he got everything. on a right night can explode on 30+ points game. and I''m sure he is not gonna ask the MAX, like Dragic and Rondo.

    Jackson
    Kobe
    Harris
    Randle
    Monroe

Bench: Clarkson, Young, Wesley Johnson, Davis, Black/Okafor, Ellington.

    looks nice.

He thinks Orlando is going to let Tobias Harris go.

I don't think we can afford Tobias Harris, Reggie Jackson, Greg Monroe and the bench players from this year.

He's a high upside restricted free agent. We're not going to overpay for some 1 season breakout wonder.

He's dealing with an injury right now. He started every game he played leading up to his DNPs because of the injury.
    I don't know that he's a one-season breakout player either. 5-2-2 as a rookie, 11-5-1 in year 2, 15-7-1 in year 3. 17-7-2 this year.

As an RFA, however, you're right; if Orlando wants him, we have zero chance at a reasonable pay rate on him. FWIW I'm high on him.

okay...I'm fascinated with Brook Lopez right now, maybe he can stay healthy with us. He really is a very skilled center and can be a 20 pt scorer. Not a rebounder but if Julius takes care of the boards, they could be a deadly combo.

No thanks. Besides the obvious "no" due to being injury prone the guy can't rebound, like you mentioned, and more importantly doesn't really use his size and length to be a good/great defensive presence.
