    I like Dragic, if he costs less than $10 million. If he opts out and doesn't sign with Phoenix, he's probably looking for more than $10 million/yr.

    If we can trade Nash+pick for Stephenson, we still have some flexability for 2016, since Stephenson's 3rd year is a team option.

    Our situation seems more dire everyday. Losing out on free agents and possible free agents. And we are at the point where we aren't bad enough to keep our draft pick.

    Turiaf was just traded and waived, per Rotoworld.com.
    He's apparently out with an injury right now, but he's a body I wouldn't mind having around for some backup minutes if we move one of our bigs.

    I sure would like to nab Jimmy Butler this summer. Seriously doubtful.

    If we somehow end up with Okafor or Towns in the draft, adding Dragic and Matthews would be a very nice summer.

    I've never been a big fan of Smith, but that was mainly because of his contract. We'd be foolish to not go after him right now.

    Dallas: 76.2M in salary, 68M committed.

    Houston: 74M in salary, 67.5M committed.

    Lakers: 76M in salary.

    I don't see what resources we'd have that others wouldn't financially, but an immediate starting spot would surely be something we could give him that would be problematic elsewhere.

    EDIT: Helljumper is almost certainly right. Our exception is, what $4.5m for Nash?

    He gets his contract from Detroit no matter what. Any salary we or another team offer him just gets deducted from the amount Detroit has to pay him.

    Cleveland, Boston, Lakers.

    - Cleveland needs a big man now that Varejao is out for the season. They have a first round Memphis pick, mutiple 2nd rounders, and possibly even Dion Waiters on the trading block.

    - Boston had offers on the table for a 3-way deal with Rondo that would have landed Rondo elsewhere besides Dallas but the Lakers didn't want anything to do with those trades. Point? I think Ainge would be willing to revisit those discussions if it enabled him to get more assets.

    - Lakers. We need to upgrade our SF spot, our PG spot, etc...Boston has Jeff Green; that would be a good fit. Long, athletic, good defender, good offensively; etc...

    Just thinking these teams all have assets/players that they need to win now or are into the asset acquiring business to potentially land an All-Star. Is there something that could be worked out where everyone benefits? Hill can't be traded for a few weeks which does muck up the timing; nevertheless, just some thoughts...

    I thought about maybe the Lakers sending Hill to Cleveland for a pick and maybe Waiters. I don't like Waiters much, but it's worth a shot to give that kid a more productive environment. Hill gets to play for a better team and we get another pick.

    F*** Ainge and f*** Boston. I hope all their picks are busts and they spend another 20 years in the Eastern Conference lottery.

    ^They have a bunch of second round picks (Cleveland). I'd do Haywood, Waiters, and a 2nd round pick.

    By the way, Cleveland is also targeting Mosgov. Maybe a 3-way with Denver, Cleveland, and the Lakers work somehow; target Wilson Chandler...

    Wilson Chandler is an older guy already and very prone to small injuries. I'll pass. I'd rather hold out for a 1st for Hill. I don't care for Waiters and I don't see him as a building block. Haywood isn't a building block either.

    If we're trading Hill it's for a 1st or nothing. That's how I'd approach this trade deadline. SOMEONE is going to need the help at that spot and Cleveland is a prime candidate.

    Wilson is 27 and his points per game have been trending up; he's shooting career highs this year. A floor spacing SF with the ability to guard both the 3 and 4 at times; has he been injury prone? Yes. Nevertheless, he's played every game this year.

    Cleveland has a only 1 1st rounder coming from Memphis; I think they do a straight up deal for a 1st and Hill but without another player coming back, I'm not too particularly interested...unless you could get something with the Memphis 1st and the Houston 1st we have and the Lin expiring. That would interest me. Also, if we have Waiters back, he's young with some upside, we could probably move him in a separate transaction for a late 1st rounder...

    Didn't know Wilson was only 27, but if you watch him play he looks much older. I thought he was closer to 30-31, but either way I'm not really that interested in him. He's more useful to a Championship team with a short window.

    Again for Cleveland if I'm Mitch, I know they need a quality Center. The ESPECIALLY need a quality Center that's on a good contract that they can guarantee for next season at 9 million dollars. The ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY need a Center that puts up nearly a double-double and a block a game. They don't need Waiters and his poor fit next to Irving. He's young with some upside.

    If I'm LA I offer Hill for Waiters/1st. If they want a throw in they can take Ronnie. Otherwise good luck finding Hill's production elsewhere.
