Yeah. His end was more tragic than Logan's. All he had done, all the battles he had, the fight he has always shown, and he dies in the back of a pickup truck on a rural road and is buried in an unmarked grave.

And they heavily implied that he had some sort of seizure and was responsible for killing all the X-Men in his mansion. I mean damn. And who can't relate to an old guy losing his faculties? We've all seen it, but now it's happening to someone who used to be a hero. It was pretty tragic.

Yeah. The entire movie was really sort of a downer. The two most iconic X-men both die and are buried in unmarked graves in the wilderness. And for what? Some kids got to make it across the border to...we don't even know. Don't get me wrong. I loved the movie. But you felt sad coming out knowing that in every X-Men movie you watch from here on out, Xavier is going to accidentally kill almost all his students and Wolverine is going to die a brutal death and be buried in the wilderness on account of a little girl he knew for like a week. :speechless:

Wasnt a fan of the tracker dude, he was essentially the plot device but I'd like to imagine it was just Charles and Logan struggling to survive.
Really enjoyed it. Loved the dynamic that builds between the 3 main characters. Logan and Charles especially.

Yeah that's true. It definitely had that vibe and for most of the movie the guy next to me kept saying,"...damn..."

You know what it reminded me of? The Last of Us.

lets not forget that he probably died thinking Logan killed him. And in turn Logan doesn't know how much that dinner/night meant to Charles

Well they had about 2 minutes from when Logan got back and got him to the truck. There's a tiny window where Prof might have figured it out. He used to be one of the smartest guys on the planet at one point.

Saw Logan finally, wonderful movie that reflects the tone of the comic while creating a very unique story about redemption. Hugh told he director that he wanted to make a film like Unforgiven , which is a big influence on the comic, all with a couple other classic westerns and they nailed it. Fantastic all around.

One of the things that Logan does well is it paints the picture of what life fo a super powered person would really be like. The loneliness, the being treated like a freak or god, essemtially being treated as something other than human. I loved the way that they treated loss in the films and found it to be the most fitting.

That's one of the most insightful things I've read in a long time regarding a comic movie Kingsama. Nice.

    Thanks!

Its one of the reasons that I think that Marvel characters are more relatable than DC. Marvel has characters that are drunks, they are raped, that beat their spouses, are on drugs, etc etc. Many of there most powerful earth based beings are heavily troubled. DC characters are all gods.

Its also the reason that I think we can't get a great superman story. The reality is that Superman has to be the most lonely person on the planet. He is the last of his kind, he is unable to related to anyone. He is constantly forced to chose who to save and who not to, remember he can hear most of the folks on the planet. Dude should be a wreck. If DC ever got the courage to actually write that story, they could win the movies lol.

It's up to 9%! One critic rated it fresh... out of eleven. So sample size is small, but so far pretty awful.

I suppose it's important to remember they've only seen the first six episodes... but the average rating is 5.12/10... not good.
