There's zero percent chance the CGI is done on that costume guys. I've got a buddy who works for a studio and he said they do CGI now the final two months before the movie comes out for some reason. They pay these guys double and triple overtime to cram the CGI (for movies like this anyway) into the final part of the process. There's just no way his suit is done when it looks that bright without the web accents. It's really just about the design of the costume that we're supposed to see. And the squinting eyes was cool. If you look close there's concentric circles around the eyes. I'm assuming it's some sort of Tony Stark deal where the eyes grow or shrink to accommodate light.
I liked the trailer, and I will likely see it twice in the theaters. But I have to admit (not sure if I posted this here before), Marvel isn't as important to me anymore because of Star Wars. It's like when you're in love with a girl, but she's unavailable. You are dating another girl, she's great, and you love her. Your relationship is great. But then your true love returns. You dump your place holder in a nanosecond, and run to your true love. That's kind of what Marvel is to me. They didn't do anything wrong. I still love them and all, but my true love has returned to me.
That's really sad for your dating history. But I hear ya. To me they're separate entities. It's more like my best friend from high school and my best friend from college. Guess what? We're all awesome so let's all hang out, have a couple beers, and go watch some cool movies while not taking our responsibilities seriously! Besides, they're all owned by Disney anyway. Same team!
I like that costume a lot, I think it's the best one we've seen on film so far. I never really liked the Toby Maguire costume, thought it was cheesy with all the plastic lining running all over it. Like how did he make that? I don't remember if the Amazing Spider-Man one was much different. But as I always qualify these sort of statements with, I'm not much of a comic book reader, so I don't know how this new suit fits with tradition, which is usually what seems to bother people most.
I don't like how tiny the spider is on his chest. Also, how the heck are they going to fit in introducing Black Panther and Spider Man into this huge Civil War plot? This is the first time I've been worried about how a Marvel movie can get the plot to come together.
I think we won't exactly get an origin story for them. Maybe with BP we see the new Avengers dealing with something in Wakanda and they royally mess up his home country so he teams up with Iron Man?
I really liked the ASM2 costume. Not sure I'm sold on the Civil War version. Although the eyes/face on the mask are very reminiscent of classic Spidey, which is neat. It took them one movie to get Cap's costume right (I HATED the Avengers costume but they redeemed themselves in Winter Soldier and Avengers 2), so maybe Spidey will be along the same lines.
Yeah, I really like the newest one best. I like the black striping on the arms and shin, I like the very subtle web pattern as opposed to the shiny silver plastic crap. I don't even mind the tiny spider emblem, I dunno it just looks right and fits with the Marvel universe they've been building in recent years. It almost has a sort of Spider-Man mixed with Captain America (the look of the belt area) with maybe even a hint of Iron Man or Tony Stark design going on there (in the face design, the smaller eyes).
To me it's between those last two. Those look clean and still pretty close to the source material. It'll be interesting to see how the eyes work. The Civil War costume's eyes grow and shrink like a camera lens. It's supposed to help them mimic the way the eyes change size and shape in the comics to give the mask more facial expression. It worked well in Deadpool although they didn't use any kind of logic, they just did it and let the audience accept it without too many questions.
I like the techy advance looking ones the best. You know the ones that look like they may be some kind of carbon -fiber kevlar weave. One's that may actually add protection, that make practical functional sense. I don't really care if they stick to the original look or not. It's pretty ridiculous going out in tights if don't serve a functional purpose.
I've barely slept, left a bit early from work, and ignored my chores but I finished season two of Daredevil already. Guys. It's really good. I don't know if it's season one but it's really really really good.
I didn't start yesterday cause I was finishing up House of Cards (Damn you Netflix and your quality!) But I intend on getting in at least 4 episodes tonight
Half way through DD. I don't like it as much as season 1 yet, but I still have the second half to go. But it is still really good
