If it turns out to be true though and Marvel ends up with the rights to all of FF's villains... OH my gawd. Kang the Conqueror, Annihulus, Galactus, Silver Surfer, and DOOOOOOOOM. ALL HAIL DOOM!

If Marvel gets those villains back, they're going to blow out Phase 4 like no other. I mean holy schamoly who wouldn't want to see all those amazing villains taking on the Avengers? Or hell we could have half the Illuminati show up and you could even delve into what we're getting out of Marvel comics right now. It's CRAZY!

And truth be told they really dont need the x-men if they land FF. its sad you would never see those iconic characters, but with the new marvel characters in the all new universe, the mainstreaming of the inhumans, and marvels ability to take character like quake and make them major players they could do almost any story line they wanted to.

Yeah Marvel has more or less moved on from mutants in general so the loss of the X-Men is minimal. Sure, they're still running X-Men comics and they're an important franchise in and of themselves, but as far as the MCU goes Inhumans have taken that role and will do just fine in it.

If Marvel can get the FF rights they've blown the door open on keeping this thing going for another decade at least.

So Marvel and Fox have both come out to deny this, rather quickly I might add. If it was all just rumor why the rush?

For me it seems like there has been some major stuff brewing over at the Big D. Just look at these events.

    1. In the spring Fox says they want a piece of the TV pie, but have to have Marvels permission.
    2. After lots of Marvel/Sony saying over and over again there is no deal, Marvel gets Spidey back.
    3. Marvel strikes gold with Ant-man, Fox flops and loses money on FF reboot.
    4. Marvel green lights very adult series JJ on netflix, which includes both sex and rape. Which was very unmarvel of them
    5. Disney moves Marvel Films to its own autonomous studio out from under Marvel Comics.
    6. Marvel Starts restructuring their release schedule, bumping/adding films.
    7. Marvel green lights Punisher for DD 2, and starts talking about a possible Fallen Grey series, Moonknight series, etc. All dark mature characters.
    8. Fox out of nowhere gets the rights to make X-men shows, and on top of that is working with marvel to produce them. All of this occurs while existing reports are that Marvel and Fox don't get along and don't talk.

Seems to me some big things have happened and are going to continue to happen in the MCU, and I would bet in time some sort of deal with Fox is going to be announced.

I follow the logic and agree with it... but my logic has failed me before when it comes to FOX.

Someone on reddit pointed out that Marvel has basically set this up perfectly from Age of Ultron.

An Eastern European city has been decimated by some entity and is in desperate need of rebuilding. A man takes hold of the country and raises it from it's ashes in spectacular fashion. The country even has machinery and robots left around the country from the fall out of the previous attack. It wouldn't be difficult to rebuild and redesign them to some other... visage...

And that story line can literally be picked up at any moment. Heck, it'd be perfect AFTER Thanos because then DOOM could have been doing it while everyone had their attentions elsewhere.

It's perfectly set up for that. Crazy.

Oh crap! I didn't know Krysten Ritter was playing Jesica Jones! I'm a lot more excited for it knowing she's playing the role and after that trailer. It looks really good.

In all honesty I cant believe that is a marvel show. That trailer hints at subject matter that is truly unnerving, this coming from a guy that works at juvenile jail and lives in the nightmare side of our society that most either avoid or ignore. Big props to marvel for goin there.

Its more than that though, its sadistic brainwashed rape, its forced suicide, its years of sexual and physical abuse. At one point it looks like the purple man is putting a lil girl in a closet, its deep hurtful stuff. Its like DD was a test run and since it with its child/sex trafficking passed, the let the reigns go.
